Since urban fighting is dangerous, high command decided to issue the 912th Legion drone units that would significantly aid troopers in urban raids, assaults, and battles. Drone units are far more dispensable than regular troopers and can be mass produces and equipped with any weaponry. The most typical types of drone deployed on Imoriqa are the XDUA and the XDUB. The XDUA is the standard rifle drone, armed with the standard issue clone rifle. The XDUB is armed with the X452 "Bontha Burner". When raiding to find enemy combatants hiding among the local population, the drones are the first things into a target building, torching it if necessary.

The XLAAS/mdcu is was controls the drone units on the battlefield. The XLAAS/mdcu is equipped with high power radar, sonar, radio, electrofield, and shield technologies allowing for a complete control field. Reports indicate that XLAAS/mdcu are extremely vulnerable to enemy ambushes, thus protection as been added in the form of a semi-hover shield and stealth generator making the units nearly invincible on the battlefield. The XLAAS/mdcu can be linked with the networks of XLAAS/mcu posts or with the orbital support fleets. One XLAAS/mdcu can support and control up to ten drones.
