I had that happen once to me. Just think this, they are unimaginative 7-9 year old n00bs with no skill whatsoever.

It was probably a coincidence, gold visor plus dark blue fig is a common combo.

Or maybe you should be happy that someone liked your design enough to use it in a contest? They don't really have to ask your permission, they have every right to do it considering you dont have any copyrights on the design (at least I don't think you do). If someone was using your decals and claiming them as their own that's different, but these pieces are owned by LEGO and they have all the right to use them just like you.

You do have every right to be mad though, that is a pretty n00bish thing to do, and people will think better of you if you make your own design. Sorry someone used your design: doom on them

This is a reason why modders are much better than purists. When we customise a piece or use decals, other people can't mimick then as easily. With purists, there's a limited amount of what minifigure you can make.

You should contact the hoster of the Brickarms contest and ask if he can be disqualified.

Yeah; that's not cool. I'd get on those forums and make sure he doesen't get anything for his trouble lack therof.

Probably? I think definitely. It's not like that fig is copyrighted.
