CABG Interview 6 - maggosh

Post by commanderbly42 on Sat Jun 28, 2008 8:27 am

Right, it's time for another exciting episode of the CABG Interviews. With me today is the brickfilmer, maggosh.

1. How did you come to join CABG?
I saw CC-007's post in the Fine Clonier forums, and I decided to join and post my Clone Wars MOCs.

2. How/why did you pick the name maggosh?
I'm not really sure. I can vaguely remember it being a username on an old TV show, though. Or something like that. And I've used the name ever since.

3. What brought you into building LEGO? How long have you been doing it?
I've been using LEGO ever since I was five. I can remember getting one of the old Space sets. I played with that set for hours on end, and when my parents bought a large bin of LEGO, I went crazy with building.

4. What's your favourite LEGO theme? Favourite set?
My favourite LEGO theme would have to be the Star Wars theme, and my favourite set is the AT-AP Walker.

5. If you could pick 3 sets for TLC to make from any theme, what would they be?
1.) Rebel base on Yavin IV
2.) Bridge of the Invisible Hand
3.) Serpent of Lore from .hack

(Like you weren't expecting something from .hack ...)

6. Why did you start making brickfilms? How long have you been doing it?
I started brickfilming after I watched Legoman182182's remake of The Italian Job (1969). After that, I found a link to OblongPictures.com and watched Buxton's work. It was only after that that I joined brickfilms.com. A year and a half later, we're at war...

HELP THE WAR EFFORT BUY MAGGOSH BONDS XD

7. What is your favourite MOC that you have made?
Well, I haven't made many MOCs, but my favourite is the HALT (Heavily Armoured Limited Troop) transport.

8. What MOC do you hope to make sometime in the future?
I plan to make a few MOCs from .hack, like the aforementioned Serpent of Lore, Azure Kite, Ovan as TriEdge and Haseo's Xth Form, among others.

9. What's your favourite MOC made by someone else?
My favourite MOC is actually from a brickfilm by Phillip "Smeagol" Heinrich, his LotR: The Two Towers montage clip. Although it's made in CGI, the tower and the vast army is quite stunning. His other film, Bane of the Sith, is also a visual treat.

10. Who do you think should be interviewed next?
A monkey. XD

Seriously; interview Uberlag.

11. Anything else you want to say?
All your base are belong to us.

Right, now to get out of here before TaaB files a C&D order against me! Be back on Tuesday with an interview from the big man himself, CC! And then Uberlag on Saturday.

See ya next time!

Good interview Maggosh! I'll have to check out those brickfilms, want to give a link? I'd love to see CC interviewed (I said that in my interview, right?). Can't wait!

Haha, great interview. Loved hearing more about yourself maggosh, as you're usually pretty quite. Sorry for things at brickfilms. I think your Invisible Hand Bridge moc is a great idea, and I'd kinda like to see you tackle it for us.

Yep interview Uberlag next, he's cringing for it Wink
