You got to ask CC. I can turn them on but he didn't so I guess he had a reason. Threads load faster.
When I worked in Corrections the inmates always said, "Mr. ****rook is ghosting again." Which meant I would just suddenly appear when they didn't expect it. As a kid I often played "night games" like: Hide & Seek, Capture the Flag, Sardines, & Ghost in the Graveyard. When I lived in Brazil I took home school and at night we would play these games for hours in our local parks. When I was bored I would walk around my block using the walls (fences made out of cinderblocks) and roof tops. So I often "prowled" the night and dust hours (If I did that in North America I would probably get arrested.). Playing games in the shadows gave me excellent stalking and hunting skills (which can be very helpful when working with criminals). I also found movies like "The Crow" and writers like Edgar Allan Poe (The Raven) seemed to connect more to me then other books and films. Also, from when I was about 6 years old, I have played a card game called "Rook". Finally, these letters are also very closely tied to my first name and my last name. So in conclusion: It's close to my name, it's a game I love to play, I connect to the dark and mysterious things in life & art (but I'm not a Goth).
You mention 'night games'... Ever played Man Hunt? My Scout Troop always has a huge Man Hunt 'tournament' when we camp at Constitution Island and sometimes the Cadets join us... I remember one time(My dad had this old army jacket; dark camo, and I wore it in addition to a black facemask, and the rest of the troop thought me a terrorist.) I was hiding in the crook of a rock wall of sorts and then one of the Scouts came along and spit, so he said 'I hope my spit doesen't hit any Scouts hiding 'round here...

But Man Hunt is the funnest 'night game' ever, for me, anyways. Capture the Flag is more of a day game, unless the flag is a lantern.
Yep all the time. I still play about 6 weekends out the year. I have fun hiding from the kids. Being doing it now for 4 years as an adult and still have not been caught.
