Droid Storage Pod

Post by commanderbly42 on Sat Jun 28, 2008 6:45 pm

Right, this is my impulse entry for GAW's contest.

Droid Storage Pods were used as an easy way for the Trade Federation to keep their droids, as well as to maintain them. Once placed inside, the droids were then kept inside a membrane, effectively sealing them off from anything in the air that would cause their armour to decay. Once every so often, fluid, specifically designed to add strength to the armour was pumped in. Maintenance equipment was kept near by for easy access and in case of emergencies.

Since I was at my neighbours house, I couldn't get pictures of it disassembled but it uses 31 pieces.

Hope you enjoy!

Not bad at all! It has a bit of a strange story, but it's cool! I like it Smile!

Looks good, though as said at eurobricks, it's not really worth to the CIS to repair their damaged droids.

@DP - True. I was originally going to use it to store a droid prototype but since I couldn't at any weapons to it, I just substituted a battle droid instead.

This reminds me of Crysis, when they unload all the battlefield information from your suit.
