How to un-LULS Luminara Undulii

Here's the common problem, a fig comes ONLY as a LULS, which isn't a bad thing, but can be a real problem if you want to make them (in this case HER) put their lightsaber's away. So here is how to modify Luminara to be a sorta standard fig.

Here she is standard LULS:


Know pick her up and locate the two small holes on either side, with tweezers carefully push the tabs inside the holes out backward.(this should pop the panel off in her back):



Then carefully remove the panel and batteries, then cut the wires, and remove the LULS arm.(mine was done previously):



Inside there is a very small tab used for holding the batteries in place:


Using tweezers again, gently break off the tab at it's base.(this is neccesary for the new minifig arm to seat properly in the torso, if you do not remove the tab the arm is pushed out a little bit and looks odd.)



Next snap in place the new standard minifig arm:


Then reattach the panel.(Make sure to remove the batteries BEFORE reattaching the panel!):



And there you have it, a LULS and non-LULS Luminara!

That's exactly why you need two, one to mod, one to keep original.

Yes, they're basically the same fig. But there is an official NLULS Windu, hey came in the revamped second Turbo Tank.

You could get a headsetless Episode 3 Anakin this way aswell.

Yes, ANY LULS fig should work the same way.

Well the only LULS fig I have is Darth Vader, and since I have 2 standard other ones I don't have to try modifie that one. But it's really easy as you describe it, was there really NOTHING what has to be done a bit careful?

You have to find/buy one. WARNING Luminara's hand is NOT Flesh, it is TAN, you must get her hand from Jar-Jar, or it will look strange!

Yeah, in pictures she looks flesh, but in real life her skin is tan, the same as any Gungans.
