Nice trashcan!! Just kidding... I love how you did everything! But I think it would look better if you used another background... the stripes don't suit me...
Being the guru of GIMP , I think your explosion could use some work... maybe some debris... and less smudge... don't worry, I am going to post a tutorial on doing explosions.. ;

That micro acclamator could use some work - as could the trashcan fortress, no offense.

This slipped under my MOC-dar.
The acclamator is messy and bulky, and the use of a bin for a fortress is just daft. Microscale the fortress with cheese slopes and tiles and greebles. The acclamator itself needs the bridge and surrounding area smoothed out.
As for the terrain, ad some details. Put the fortress on a remote cliff, hidden in a valley, something imaginative...
So much can be done here, make it good!
