Republic MPCRS

Post by Mike on Wed Oct 29, 2008 10:34 pm

The MPCRS or the Multi Purpose Combat And Recon Speeder. It was made, half for reconnisence, or for combat.
It was also used to transfer important information during the missions on the CIS facility.

Crap that's the reason I made it and I forgot! Laughing
And the engines are cleverly hidden...erm...in the spot behind the drivers seat! Razz

No, it looks like you based the design of TLCs BP speeder.

The gun or the white bottom? I think only the side guns resemble it...

Yeah, but even the smallest of detail makes it look like TLCs. Sorry if we're being picky, just a FYI! Wink

Plus TLC used the two "cannon" pieces.

Yes it is, it was made to hold supplies and the engine hood. Wink

It's OK... the shape is kinda basic.
Very similair to TLC's speeder bike...

Also the color irks me... too much dark red and not enough white/gray.
Dark Red is a more of a highlight then a base color.

Agreed. The best thing to do is to avoid that old speeder design altogether. This technique has been in LEGO Star Wars since the very beginning, but it's time has come, as demonstrated by the continued upgrades and finally, in the new gunshape, an entirely new design. So must it be with your design. Scrap the basic design and brick build everything. Steering vanes included. I've always admired speeders which are as thin as possible, beecasue when your speeder is 4-5 studs wide it just looks daft. Compress what you can, speederbikes don't carry luggage. Wink

The whole point of speeder bikes were to get around quickly and efficiently. If you want to carry luggage with you, then don't get a bike; get a landspeeder.

I agree with the people saying it needs a better design, try to come up with more unique techniques.
