Hoth Recon (with sneak peek of upcoming ship)

In the beginning years of Palpatine's Fists, they were sent to do a recon of the previously uncharted planet of Hoth. The first attempted in failure when heavy storms caused their transport to crash land:



After that disaster, Palpatine's Fists were patched up and sent for another run 5 months later:



There landing was a success, and they continued on in their voyage:



Palpatine's Fists set up a few posts, and then left. The Republic was pleased with this success, and the reputation of Palpatine's Fists increased, in the eyes of Palpatine, anyway...

At least you actually HAVE snow , I like it, although how is it recon if its uncharted?

Uncharted doesn't mean nobody knows about it ex. most of Alaska or the Pacific ocean is uncharted but people still know it is there. Love the use of the snow and that speeder is awesome!

recon means reconnaissance so, to recon something, something has to be there first, which there isn't.

Reconnaissance means to scout out or investigate.

I thought reconnaissance meant like reinforcements, once again I have made up meanings for words

The snow is starting melt and I was thinking about taking the legos outside for some Hoth shots. Glad to see someone else was thinking the same thing.

If Hoth wasn't charted in Imperial times, it wasn't in Republic times either. Cool scene! I like how you tied it in with real elements. (snow)

The Hoth system was known about as far back as the last Sith war, it is widely believed that it was named after General Hoth. It only showed up on a few star maps, and very little was known about the system.

P.S.However, until New Republic times, it was never "officially" charted.

Silly master Obi-wan lost a planet . I hate when the snow melts because I lose an chance to make a Hoth scene.

Where we live, were lucky if the snow lasts an entire day. I figured by the time I got my stuff out of the Diorama, and set it outside, the snow would be so melted and stepped on, it just wouldn't be worth it.

I'm worried about losing pieces in the snow, but you could probably get a baking sheet and cover in in snow and bring it inside to take some pictures.

I did this previous year, see it here. I didn't lose any parts so don't be worried Rook.

Or did you? Would you know? That's how they become lost?
