The Cayman

Post by Thunder-blade on Sat Jan 31, 2009 8:15 pm

Based loosely on the WW2s Flying Fortress. The Cayman is the "flagship" of the land based bombers.

This bomber/fighter led the 95th Valkyrie Squad (aerial squad).

Nice work; I like the two side windows cleverly concealed behind a panel so only the slant appears. Wink

I like it, except that the windshield is too small for the size of the ship.

Excellent ship, TB! The wings are a bit too small though for a ship of that size, maybe extend them 3-4 studs?

I think this might be one of TB's greatest MOC's. I love the shape, and the whole thing goin on with the cockpits is cool too!

I can see your Flying Fortress reference, but that bubble cockpit just doesn't go with the rest of the craft in my opinion. Maybe try the larty bubble from the old LAAT/i set?

But that aside, it's an awesome design! Bravo!

Cool I like the color scheme it goes with all of your other creations. But does it have an interior? If so could you post pics of it?

Here's a few ideas:
A rack for their guns.
A gray wagon wheel to be used as a hologram table thingy.
A area with seats.
And on the side maybe a flip up door so they can deploy from the air ie a few feet off the ground.

It's fine take your time replying any day.

Yeah.

I'd add...

  • A Hologram Table/Machine/Projector
  • An Armory
  • A Bacta Tank
  • A secret compartment or something.
  • A bottle of beer (Lawl).
