Rock Formations

Post by Commander Mongoose on Thu Feb 05, 2009 12:57 am

Well, I am recently working on a awesome MOC that involves a mountain, and I know that DY and others can help!

Any suggestions, tips or anything? I really don't know how to do this!

If you're supremely lazy, like I am, then stack a couple BURPS and LURPS on top of each other.

Well, do you use A LOT of cheese parts? That's what I think is what makes them look good...

A neat way to edge out the ugliness of BURPs/LURPs is to cover all the studs on them with 1x1 cheese slopes, dark bley of course. You can also add bricks to it to build it up so that it's totally even.

This is very helpful. I've thought of doing this a couple of times. By the way what is BURPs/LURPs?

BURP = Big Ugly Rock Piece - that giant one-piece mountain loved by lazy MOCers everywhere. Wink

As for techniques... layer 'em, SNOT 'em, steal 'em from Rocko. Razz
