Commander Gree
This is my Commander Gree minifig I've been working on:
This is the decal sheet I used (again a modification of Kaminoan's)...
This was a real challenge to make since Gree's armour isn't white and camouflaged, and I had to paint the entire helmet.
If thre's anywhere I can improve on, please point it out (mainly the colours)

Re: Commander Gree
It looks pretty good. I would have used a gray torso and legs. With green arms. But I can't tell what color your torso is. The only thing I think needs reworking is the helmet. If I remember right Grees hemlet had a little bit of silver/chrome. I would add that.

Looks good!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I always thought of Gree with more camo...

Re: Commander Gree
Bloody hell.
It looks fantastic. Fantastic.
Just a bit more 'camo' on the arms and on the legs, but I love the helmet.

Re: Commander Gree
Nice Gree, one of the best I've seen. But wasn't the helmet a little more gray, or silver? <-- It resembles this really good, though.

Re: Commander Gree
That looks really good? Did you paint the helmet markings? And in ROTS, his helmet was actually silver, as many people have said.
Re: Commander Gree
Looks good! For a WIP that is, There's a problem though, the back of Gree's helmet is white starting after the earmuffs.
I'm working on Gree too right now and did alot of research.

Re: Commander Gree
I had another look at Gree on ROTS, he's got chrome on the top of his helmet (except the fin), on his face and on the chin around the nozzles. Everywhere else is either white or a very light shade of grey. I might add some camo decals for his lower arms and change the decals so they can stand out more on the body....
Time to strip all the paint off that helmet...

Dude really say more then just one word or the Admins will ban you.
Mike- Thats good that you are redoing it. How exactly will you take the paint off? Are you going to use paint stripper?
Oh and to make the decals stand out more you might want to use a white body.

The decals are more clearer in real life, the photos make it look worse that it actually is. I've tried white bodys but I like it better since the brown-grey colour of the undecalled/unpainted parts suit Gree.
I use methylated spirits, since it doesn't seem to have any effect on the lego. Apparently proper paint thinners break legos and the tests I've done with turpentine soften the pieces (I dare someone to soak one of their legos in nail polish remover!)

Oh ok..then disregard my comment in the Clone Minifig section.
Hmm ok thats a new one. Heck I'll do that I have crapy pieces I don't want any more...I'll make a post in the "topics that are too small for their own thread" thread. And I'll have pictures.
