AT-TE Mod

Post by Shadowstealer on Mon Mar 30, 2009 9:35 pm

I decided to Mod my AT-TE, nothing major or anything, but I'm proud of it so here you go:

Overview (Not much external modding, but if you look you can see some):

Cannon (I made it more accurate by adding a ring thingy around the gunner):

Middle Leg (I added two half octagon pieces on the side panels, giving the troops more cover):

Internal Control Room(With a holotable):

Back (Probably the thing I'm most proud of is the fact that I gave it a @$$):

Back (And what do you know, the @$$ flips down into a small ramp):

Troop Bay (I made it so six troops can sit in the back, with the gun rack):

And here is a sneak peek at a WIP scene from my comic:

Well that's pretty much it, as always Questions and Comments welcome. Smile

You've done a good job on this SS, the best bit is by far the controll room.

Nice!

Internal looks great!

I would add some external things too..

Like since your legion color is black, make your AT-TE in black!

Sorta like how I did mine:

I don't have enough black pieces to do, if I did I would though.

I wish I could get a gunship or AT-TE just because of all the cool things you can mod! I really like the cannon ring thingy, the controls are sweet! Smile

I love it's arse Wink, it's so attractively designed (pun inteneded Razz ). My complaint there is that there isn't a foldable ramp that extends all the way down, but that's excusable. The other elements are okay Wink .

One question... How do the troops get out of the @$$? Laughing Since there is something blocking the exit (I think the flip UP part of the @$$) Razz

We are now entering the off-topic zone: Oh... just say Arse (Edit: OMFG, will someone stop with this darn [Edit2: /facepalm] censoring!), would ya? Invective is relative. If I were to walk up to a spanish man, and say "fuck" many times over, he would look at me funnily, and walk away. To whom is it "bad". How can a word be "bad". It's a bunch of bloody sounds Wink .

We are now leaving the off-topic zone: I think it's either cosmetic, or intended for supplemental troops, cargo, or minor vehicles.

Wow, that mod blows my mod out of the water. Though I made a butt for mine too, it's just grey and it's definantly not as cool. I'll post a tri-mod topic soon with pictures of all of my republic vehicle mods.

The back hatch lowering down for deployment is definitely the best. Good work on that turret too.

Great Job! I especially like the how the back part of it folds down and the Clone troopers can walk out. Good job on the control room too, it's the best one I've seen so far. Smile Laughing

Re: AT-TE Mod

Post by PhiMa on Wed Apr 01, 2009 8:25 pm

Hmm, quite a good modded AT-TE. I like the use of those two plates to give the troopers more protection, and the use of that wheel brim for the gunners seat is just ingenious! But the trooper bay is still a bit odd, it doesn't seem like clones would sit in an AT-TE like that, they need to be crammed together. Maximum troops in minimum space. Still, it looks great. Love the idea of the ramp coming out of the Arse.
