V-wing
This is my entry for aMOCican Idol. It has a bottom to it but I forgot to get pictures of it. I know the engines could be better but I couldn't find any thing so I did my best.

Exactly. I like the design but there is to much resmebelance to the TLC set.

Well the set was fairly accurate. I actually saw that it was a lot like it so I tried to change it.

Re: V-wing
Great job with the design and the details! Took another closer look and Zeph was right about it not being so similar.

Re: V-wing
Very nice! It's detailed, and looks very correct. The greebs are full one, and the shape is nice.
As for it looking at all like the TLC model, your obviously just trying to make up stuff to bust your post count. It looks almost nothing like the TLC model, and reuses almostzero of the techniques found in the TLC model.
Nice work!

Re: V-wing
I really like this model, and the details are great, except for one big thing: The 'wings' don't fold up and down like in the TLC model. They are either in the full upright position, or they are all the way forward, facing the direction that the nose does.

Re: V-wing
Oooh a bigger scale, with more angles and wedge pieces. I'm diggin the front angles and the back engine parts. I do hope that you've created this new model so you can take out and put in a full R2 model?
Re: V-wing
Nice! This is one of the best V-Wings I've seen so far! There's one thing that disturbs me though: That 2x4 dark gray plate on the wings. Think you can change that?
Re: V-wing
Yes - it does look like TLC.
Yes - it is a WONDERFUL mod of it.
This is much more to accuracy than the piece of crap they came out with. Bulkier, more substantial, and aside from a few flaws around your guns, a bit more aesthetically pleasing .
However, you will find a knife in your bed because you didn't properly mix old grey and new grey, or you did not not use it at all !

But then it wouldn't be accurate.

That is purely awesome! I like the use of the TLC Jedi Star Fighter and V-wing combined!

The one on the circular piece? If so would you want me to change it to a light grey.PhiMa wrote:Nice! This is one of the best V-Wings I've seen so far! There's one thing that disturbs me though: That 2x4 dark gray plate on the wings. Think you can change that?

Yes, light grey would be better. Or if you used the same type of dark grey as the wings.

Why not? It looks like he could probably fit a unit in there.

V-wings have built-in droids.

I absolutely disagree!
Really, it looks great. It has that sorta UCS feeling to it, with the upper and lower leveling of the plates and I really love that, but the engine area is awesome as well.
The wings are far too small as well, though, and that old dk. grey 2x4 is killing it. 'oh:

I guessing the set weights about twice as much now , I also saw a stand, is it poseable? The only thing I don't like is the almost consealed R4 unit
