Tunnel Savior

Post by Clonecommando007 on Wed May 06, 2009 9:36 pm

Ok, this was my entry for the 54th Corps Build off. I had built it the day after the build off was announced, but I was too lazy to photograph and post it.

Anyways, backround story:

The battle on the front lines of Subterraintropolis is as hot as ever. More and more soldiers are being wounded and are scattered all over the city streets. To avoid unneccessary exposure to the random artillery strikes, the 222nd Legion has decided to move its Combat Medics to the frontline through the maintainence tunnels beneath the city street. One such medic makes his way towards his relief zone escorted by an infantry trooper. Suddenly, a Magnaguard appears the hallway next to the door leading to the relief zone. The medic takes cover, but the trooper leaps into action, throwing itself at the hulking magnaguard. In a seemingly futile and assureadely fatal attempt to save the medic, the trooper dodges the magnaguards staff and blasts the magnaguard point-blank in the head.

The trooper's efforts saved the life of the medic and thus dozens of his brothers, but cost him his own.

I really like the middle and the bottom, because there is so much detail. The upper wall seems a little bare compared to the tunnel. I loved the meddic, by the way.

The wall was done with simplicty in mind because it had to match the rest of my white helioscaunt buildings. However, I was left to my imagination what to do with the greebles beneath the street and the tunnel. But, you must realize, I must be consistent with what I've already started, and that's the plain white of the Helioscaunt buildings. Smile

I do very much like the destruction technique used in the wall! The greebles are admirable, and all in all it's a respectable vignette Wink !

I notice how you aligned the 'triangular bricks' on the lowest level so that they would fit. The upper area where the clone is peering down is also nicely done.

Yea, the triangle shaped geometry there is supposed to represent the door. Smile

This platform city wasn't designed with confederacy droids in mind, 80-0. Wink Keep in mind that the average height of human males is 5'10", or just under 5 bricks high. Laughing This is quite a tall door. Wink

Eh, could be better. The holes in the wall don't look very much look like a scene of destruction. The greebs on the bottom and middle levels though are great. The bloodshed and sacrificial-ness are great. I would like to see that trooper whose saving the medic get pwnd by the magna gaurd though...

I really wish you had posted this in time Razz It's a great vig, and I admire the tallness of it. The white level and windows kind of remind me of Kamino. I'd work on spreading out the fire more rather than just being a straight line, but other than that looking good CC.

Seriously, get rid of the blood! There is no way that clone can bleed from lasers!
But the building looks ok. Quite simple though. Needs some detail.

Yes he can. He takes a serious hit, and he begins hemmoraging from other parts of the body, coughing up blood which leaks out of his helmet Wink .

No he can't. There isn't a single trooper which bleeds in the movies. You don't bleed from lasers.

Uhhh...all but one of them were rated PG. And they were created for children, so even ROTS was made to show no blood. However, I do agree with you that lazer fire burns the ends of the vessels so they can't bleed. However, if you didn't notice, most of the blood was near their faces, indicating vomiting and convulsion. As for the one with the helmet on...well...ignore that. Laughing Wink
