Not sure; I think it's a sort of armor that keeps a Rebel from shooting the pod(instant destruction for the Mauler) from the side.

That could be the reason, but where are these fins located?

look on the outer edge of the top of the tread housing, these fins DO have small solar cells on them, but they have to have a better purpose then that, purhaps 80-0 is right and it's armor? Blue Arc

These are the fins I'm talking about, turns out on the prototype theyare NOT so small after all... Hola Wow!

Looks like the stormtrooper in the pic stopped a little too soon; his face is pasted against the window. Laughing

I guess the game-desgners intended him as the "driver" but his helmet looks more like a Bionicle mask, and it looks like he got plastered to the window, another cheap game graphic I imagine. Roll Eyes Blue Arc

TIEs aren't very expensive things, so their controls also aren't very complicated, I think.

The Remnant is definitely bad guys; Kyle Katarn takes them out to the street in Jedi Outcast! Razz

The Swamp Troopers looked cool, as did the weapons. The Imperial Repeater owned in that game. Talk about a lot of bullets. Laughing

well ever since the Yuuzen Vong (< spelling?) wars theyhave been aligned with Galactic Allience, and more importantly, Admiral Pellion, but Tahiri Veilla shot him, so they are know under the leadership of Admiral Daala. And everyone knows that the Empire retakes the galaxy with help from the sith (much later though, at like 130BBY) who force Emperor Fel to do their bidding, he thens allies with Cade Skywalker and the Jedi against the Sith, and are know retaking the galaxy for the Empire and the Jedi!
