HAZMAT Shelter
Gallery
Used by the 704th, the HAZMAT Shelter was used when undefusable Nerve Agents needed to blow up, or a biohazard in the air. It sported 1 Blaster Cannon, which was automated.
The Hazard Response Trooper (HRT) was deployed in toxic areas, and in unbreathable atmospheres, donning a Class A HAZMAT Suit.

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
It is small for a bunker. It looks more like a pod that comes off of a ship with a guy in it.
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Fine, container, bunker, same difference. I'll go Wiki'ing for a new word, kay?

Impenetrable you say I think a projectile chain gun could bust that thing (the wonders of modern technology).

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Cool, I like your trooper. The gun on top makes it look better and the whole thing is well built.
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Nice trooper, I like the use of the rebel flight suit in that color.

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
A simple creation. It's really just a box, it doesn't really have too many points of interest, I like the trooper though, and the little side greeb is nice (the buzz droid piece). The gun on top is fairly clean too. Over-all it's just... kinda boring. not bad, but nothing really interesting is going down.
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Exactly, it's a box, because it's a bomb/hazard shelter.
They aren't supposed to be over detailed, they have to be transported quickly.

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
One last nitpick that I didn't put in my previous post...
Why would most of the wall be glass (or clear durasteel or whatever the Star Wars alternative is)? That's really easy to penetrate...

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Well, would you rather like a transparent box, or a box with all walls?
Anyways, it may just be transparisteel, but this isn't meant for combat, it's for trapping a Nerve Agent gas inside until it can be released safely.

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
It's a good idea and I like the turret, but the widows make it seem to week. Actually that depends, is this just for radiation protection? Or is it supposed to protect people inside from major explosions?
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
If a major explosion happens, such as the Star Wars-equivalent of an Atom Bomb... just crawl into a refrigerator!
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Major explosions, you're dead.
This isn't invincible, y'know.

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
I mean, it's not like it can stand a couple charges of C4, but it can withstand a minor explosive.

Re: HAZMAT Shelter
So if a radioactive bomb went off very far away it would protect the clone from the small blast and the radiation, right?Alpha wrote:I mean, it's not like it can stand a couple charges of C4, but it can withstand a minor explosive.
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Yes, and it'd also protect the biohazard from exiting the shelter if the bioweapon went off in the shelter.

Like I said on Flickr... heavily based on last night's 24.
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
Nice, but if the droids had bio-weapon capabilities, don't you think they'd have some firepower to blow the crap out of that thing? Other than that, its quite nice.
Re: HAZMAT Shelter
If the droids had bioweapons, they'd certainly release it, as they know they won't win in combat.
And besides, this is used to trap a bioweapon inside until it can be safely released.
