Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
I built the fort in the last two days, and the rest of it today. Enjoy.

Why the links? Because I capped my May Flickr allowance.
Thank goodness for Brickshelf.

That's not half bad! Way better than my rocks... I love the captain! That torso is so awesome!
Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
The water could use work, but other than that I have no complaints!

SNOT looks good. But it's kinda funky looking because the water is plates..
Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
@ PD: Thanks; it's in that little creator set. I actually don't know what happened to the pieces. I'll have to ask my brother about that. >_> <_<
@ JJ: Yup, four plates slapped together topped with a pile 'o tiles. Real tough stuff.
EDIT @ TB: Ditto.

Hmm, I like the use of Asajj's Lightsaber on the lock, and those pieces for waves on the front of the boot. You seem to like SNOT lately...
Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
All you need is a lot of basic bricks.
And actually considering all the MOCs I've made here this is only the fourth SNOT MOC.

Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
80-0, sorry to sound like a nobb, when you mkae SNOT creations do you just build sideways and lay it flat? If so, how do you get other things to stand on top of it?
Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
I use 4x1x4 bricks, basically 4x1s with four studs on the side. Two of those positioned the front half of the outpost. 2x1x2 bricks with two holes in it and two half-stud pins make for good positioning.
Also, 2x1x4 bricks I particularly find useful. They're 2x1 bricks with two studs on EACH side.
I connected it all together and stacked a whole pile of jail bars underneath the outpost.

It's ok, but the rocks could use some work.

The part where the yellow 1x2x2 sticks out and that gap over to the right are a problem... For some reason I didn't have nearly as many rock bricks as I did when I made Red Dawn.

The ocean needs waves, some riffraff in the water giving it an up-and-down aura perhaps?

Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
It needs palm trees and dead fish on the shore.

Very nice! The SNOT looks pretty good, and the mini-fort is put together well! Nothing huge but it is done well.
Re: Pirates SNOT Beach, rock face, waterfront, and mini-fort
I'll toss some fish on the shore, and yes, a palm tree.
It never occured to me how dead it looked, you know? Rocks, sand, and water aren't exactly reminiscent of something that's bristling with life.
