Siege of Outpost 72

Post by flare on Sat May 30, 2009 10:20 pm

Outpost 72 is under attack by rogue Jedi!

I'll give you a cookie if you can name those 3 jedi!

Awesome, nice job! I've seen Yoda and Rook done like that a lot but DP is great. Wink

Not that awesome of an MOC, but the figs are what makes it cool.

The figs look pretty cool, having Rook, Darth Yoda, and Darth Pineapple, where did you get all those at-rt driver helmets?

Yeah, I know the bottom is a little weak. But I didn't want to fill that little room with a lot of pieces. I was mainly focused on the sloped wall. The top is more detail.

Meh. Its just a base plate with a mediocre platform and some freakish figs... Honestly, if you're gonna get Arealight helmets, you have to put a mouth on them... or else they just look weird...

Just focused on the slopes?

I'd just call this a display for minifigs...

Meh not really a MOC more like a display for minifigures. All you did was slap figures on a baseplate and add a slope with another baseplate with more minifigures on it. Not really your best MOC really Sad . Add some detail and it will look alot better.

1. I don't post many Mocs. And I have done others.
2. I don't want to over kill it with greebles.
3. itís a small base plate that I worked with.
4 The Moc was basically to show off the Door to the outpost.

NO! I have a lot more pieces. I choose to build small. I do try to build big. But building big means more detail, or more figures, etc.

That means it's most likely a tablescrap because it's basically figs on a baseplate.
@Flare. I know you have alot more pieces than that.

Foxrex, you said almost the same thing I said, so I'm gonna take that as spam and call you a noob. Razz

But seriously flare, it has no greebles, it has nothing special, just slopes going up to a small platform, nothing special. Sad

You need a good MOC to showcase good figures. Wink

Figs + Baseplate + a couple other pieces = bleh.

How is this a Clone Army creation :scratch: . The clone scouts aren't even that well done. Its a defect helmet on a torso.

Arighty How would I fill it with greebles, hmm? Not much room....Plus the top I think is detaled. I could have added tiles. But there isn't room IMO without overkilling it.

@pd,
its a doorway.

Make more room then.

It's not that good as a MOC, really. But I do like that pineapple!

@pd,
its a doorway.

The top could've been done way better than just two canons on top of each other. A LOT. And this "doorway", at least add some goddamn lights or some tiles!

Admin - Chill out. This isn't a venting site, if you're not going to have a good attitude about posting here than just don't.

Well, before you said this you haven't shown us that. It's just been "I'm not greebling it any more because that will look too cluttered Etc... When really that's what you need the most.
Pd you didn't need to say goddam and stuff like that, but I do agree with you.
On to the Moc itself. The figs are very nice, I prefer myself with a clone wars yoda head but it's cool nonetheless. DP is heheish, and rook is his old boring self. The clones are ok but I would have liked to see some other white torsos than the regular clone wars ones. The fox torso just doesn't fit...
The base itself is very bland. The top is okay with those few gun pieces..
But that bottom is horrible! A huge green brick with a plate on top. I know you can to better than that Flare, you showed us that when you made the tunnel creation. Wink
