The Final Expedition

Post by Zepher on Thu Jun 04, 2009 9:59 pm

The story behind the final expidition of the Touchino civilization was lost. Not much remains known about it, but it is known that when the final explorer returned, no one was left to great him. It is thought that the explorer was some how caught in time, and spent over 500 years exploring the outside world. While he was gone, it is rumoured that the Touchino had died out. He continued to roam the world, going to new lands and seeing new sights. It is thought by some that he still wanders out there today, holding all the lost Touchino secrets and wonders within him. He is followed by his loyal Torta, and al lthe creatures that were supposed to be lost with the Touchino nation.

The Explorer

The Stone Humming Birds, which used to fly around the Touchino's large mountian cities, have all but disappeared. It is thought that they may ave caught the disease that killed off the Touchino. Myth says that the final Explorer has two Stone Humming birds who follow him to this day.

A flock of local birds nest on an old Touchino post.

His Torta

Scene without the Torta

Another shot of the Explorer

Lots of Torta Shots!

So be on the look out for the Final Explorer.
The final survivor of an ancient race.
He has stories and wonders for the ready discoverer.
If you should come face to face,
He's tailed by a Torta, a wonderful beast,
one of power and might.
Sit him down, invite him to a feast,
and he'll tell you stories all night.
The stories and myths of old, my dear,
that have been lost to time.
The stories and myths of old, you'll hear,
The stories of the old Touchino regime.

That is freakin hawt! I love the use of the rowboats. The transblue goes very well with the pink flowers and white tiles.
I'm really liking the use of bionicle parts.

The colors are magnificent, the piece useage is astounding (love the little stone humming birds), splendid landscaping, and magnificent Torta beast!

Best of all, it's one of those surreal MOCs that just makes the viewer cock his head to the side, and utter:

Your Torta is quite cool, as is the MOC itself. I told you it'd look better without the grass. Razz

Nice, I think that it'd look better without the flowers but I like the scene. Smile

That pic is actually an accurate example of my face at the time of seeing the MOC. Razz

It first looked like a confusing pile of strangely associated brown and grey pieces, which by the by turned out to be a cleverly connected assortment of well-constructed builds.

So yes, great work!

Wow.

I love everything about this, definately your best work!

The MOC itself is awesome but the Torta is the icing on an already great cake!

Very nice Zeph. I love the big bot, and the rocks are a good compromise to my other idea. Maybe a little less Bionicle though?

I think you should...

There's just something different about this, it's creative, original and design-wise there was loads of room for error, but you pulled this off brilliantly!

Yes, they were meant to be a shell. Thanks so much to everyone! I think I'll Frontpage it if no one will yell at me for abusing my powers. I mean, no one's said they disliked it. I'vew gotten good reviews. I think I will!

I want my MOCs to have more attention, but they don't. And I don't get to front page them.

Size matters not, it is the action itself that counts.

(explanation: doing something only once or twice doesn't make it any better)

Zeph, I love it. You've jumped to a new level with this MOC. Itís very abstract and unique in shape and design. I'd like to see you build more of this trippy Alice in Wonderland stuff. Thumbs up
