Post Apoc Base
My first relatively large scale MOC: a small storage house turned into base during post apoc times.
The characters in the MOC:
Sarge and William:Two soldiers cut off from the rest of their squad. Sarge still carries a salvaged military radio in hope of re-establishing contact with his squad mates.
Stan:A former prison guard who escaped the zombies that attacked the jail. He is also a professional hacker.
Professor Jones:An eccentric man who uses his invention: the 'sonic screwdriver', to modify an repair equpiment. Most of the things in the base are made by him.
Victor: A gang member. After his gang was converted to zombies, he ran off to the first shelter he could find.
'Scar': A mercenary and assassin. Scar was in town performing an assassination when the zombies attacked.
Overview: These need no description...
The front door. Otherwise known as: a door frame with metal sheeting...
Top View; we'll get to the smaller details later.
Here you see the professor tinkering with his pistol in a corner. Also present is the metal door and crates blocking the way. Let's zoom in on the professor, shall we?
Jones making adjustments to his pistol. He's always changing it: increasing firing speed, velocity of fire, adding new designs. You can also see his lamp, he created that himself, and it runs on carbon dioxide.
Stan has hacked into a private military network. He views reports on their happenings and make contact with them regularly. The professor has modified the computer so that it can send and recieve all sorts of radio and microwaves on different frequencies to increase contact.
A hastily dug hole in the wall leads to a small room. The tip of one of the professor's robots can also be seen.
The small room also has a hole, leading outside. You can see the tip of Victor's gun and the top of his head. He's guarding the hole in case zombies find the entrance.
'Chewk' esque storage containers hold emergency supplies.
The roof. William mans a machine turret salvaged from their army jeep, while Sarge checks his radio yet again.
Close up on Sarge, and a protective wall behind him...
And here is what's behind it! One powerful radio and microwave transmitter and receiver, created by Professor Jones himself.
Scar gazes onto the street, as he ponders his fate. Actually, he's just on guard duty.
Satelite contact module, linked up to the radio/micro wave transmitter and receiver, all connected to the computer.
That's all from me!

God! The attention to detail in the MOC is simply astounding, however it's nothing nobody else could have done but hasn't done yet. That's what makes me appreciate this. The intricacy of the devices and locations in the MOC are very impressive, and it gives me this homey feeling which almost has made me inclined to go and designed a detailed and greebled-up safehouse of my own !

This looks awesome! At first when I saw the hole I'm just like did zombies make a tunnel? Then I saw the description.
Re: Post Apoc Base
Wow,the greebling and detail here are just amazing! I like how you did different levels and all the different figures are great!

Thanks! I tried to build it so that it looked like the survivors had been there awhile already, hence the large amount of effects and details. You can thank the professor!

I love the look of this. The inside is very well done. The characters in it are great too! Did you/are you going to make any zombies to attack the base? It would be cool to see some pictures of them fighting off zombies.
Re: Post Apoc Base
wow. everything is just wow.
Love all the greebles, and the 'run-downness' of it all. Great job!

*Sorry for the bump, I never saw this topic, and I do have something constructive to say.* First off, I have to say it is amazing! I love the bullet holes in the wall, the chains, the door. Brilliant. But why hasn't anyone given Axel crap about the smiling machine gunist?!?! *ahemmuffinhoboahem*

It's Muffinhobo's sigfig's face, isn't it?
He's smiling because it's a moment of peace and zombies aren't attacking them...again.
EDIT: Oh no, it's not Muffinhobo's sigfig. His one has a Han Solo face...what am I missing, 667th?

Re: Post Apoc Base
Well back on a build of mine, MuffinHobo commented on it saying that the machine gunner (who had the same face) shouldn't be smiling, and he just kept complaining about that...
