Deep in the French Forest...
Deep in occupied France Captain Francis Faie bravely leads his men that are left from D-Day through the forest, but the Germans lay in wait for him!
Overview
Treetop
Without figs and trees.
No figs
I tried using a new greebling technique when I ran out of grass and plant pieces.
PaB here I come.

It's good! I only have one thing to say , leave out the extra pieces!

Instead of just piling pieces together try to stick them together and make something.

That my friend is the greebling and it gives a forest feel to it.

Re: Deep in the French Forest...
The figs need a lot of work, and the French soldier needs more cover... But that "Greeb" technique is sweeeeeet.
Re: Deep in the French Forest...
The greebling really adds to the jungle foliage! All together it's nice, but the tree using the brown arches looks weird with the circular peices at the bottom.
Re: Deep in the French Forest...
I tried to cover that up.
I wonder if they have 1x1 square dark browns...

Re: Deep in the French Forest...
I actually like the greebling a lot! I didn't notice them at first so that's a good thing. Very nice MOC.

Why do the figs need work?
My main purpose of that was to see how everyone liked the greebling, so you made my day!

Watch out Allies! I kind of like it. It's a cool little Moc. Good Job!

Re: Deep in the French Forest...
The minifigs are a little fail, but the set is rather nice. The greebling technique, while lacking finesse (it's just a bunch'a bricks thrown together), is a rather nice way of creating bushes.
Re: Deep in the French Forest...
I don't see how the minifigs are fail!

Re: Deep in the French Forest...
Nice! I can see you used the skateboard helmet very well.
Aww c'mon, what do you learn at history class? Did the French occupied themselves and fought the Allies? They were a part of the Allies!

No, according to Dy the French occupied France and then defended it against their own allies.

Re: Deep in the French Forest...
Though it was hard to see in the first few pictures, and it was a little thrown together and not technically attached, I really liked all the vines, plants, and rubble laying on the ground next to the path.
Re: Deep in the French Forest...
You've never seen that greebling technique?

Greebs in this are awesome! Very well done Faie! That one tree fails, of course, but over-all, this is very nice!
