Sickle Starfighter MK2 (Real LEGO, get used to it :D)

Post by J4ke on Thu Jun 18, 2009 10:26 pm

Hello, I bring you yet more LEGOey funs, an update of an LDD model. Same premise, same cockpit, same basic design. But done differently.

And compared to the old LDD version:

The photoset is here, enjoy and please leave feedback.

I like it J4ke, but can you please provide us with a basic description of how it relates to the Clone Wars?

I actually like it!

It has that real compact feel to it, the detail is okay as well!

Good job!

It could use some Republic Red, the Bendi Crest where those engine exhaust 2X2 circle plates are, and a smattering of white. It's a solid design - darn I love those wings - but I don't quite think it's a Clone Army Creation at this point Wink .

I love the wing design! The whole shape of the starfighter is really well done, though maybe I would fill in some of the holes in the wings.

Nice again: very sleek and quite an improvement on the LDD. I like the gaps though: they add to the sleekness and make it feel more 'alive'. As ridiculous as that sounds, I mean as opposed to the LDD, which just had two straight blocks of bricks sticking out, this is far more creative.

That my friend is cool. Love the wings. Surprised
May I ask...did you buy the parts from Bricklink or upload the design to the Lego website and buy it from there?

He used parts in his collection, which is at least what I would do. Unless of course it needs a stupid amount of bricks to look halfway decent, which thankfully this does not.

Thanks muchly.
