Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Finding their current field artillery piece too unwieldy, Colonel Kaier, upon his return from Arkania, put in a procurement request for Golan Arms' latest design - the T-22 Field Cannon. With a 105mm barrel, it takes slug ammunition which when put in the breech-loading mechanism and fired, is enveloped in a cloud of blaster energy thanks to it's tibanna gas core. Upon detonation, the core bursts, dealing massive energy and concussive damage to the target. Not boasting the fire-by-wire mechanisms of previous models, the T-22 instead uses standard mechanical firing sequences. A series of levers, hinges, and other simple machines make up the equally basic firing system. The only computerized system is a artillery calculations and optics package mounted above the left side of the barrel to reduce the T.O.T for the gunners. It is easily transported, field stripped, and operated. The only downside is it's reduced range, which proved problematic during the 541st's stand on Ansion.

Hey, it's that thing from your Arkania Comics... or atleast the upgraded version!
Well designed, though the leg could be a tad bit thinner.

That is pretty cool. I like the ammo crate idea.

Yeah, Alpha, I had really liked that MOC, so I decided to make a new version of it to not scrap !
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
I'd replace the standard SW brick blaster with a brick built version but other than that bravo!

Looks good, I like the concept of a smaller piece of artillery, and I really like the loading mechanism on the back.

Someone with an obsession for breach loading if I do say so myself.

Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
That is really cool! . I'm gonna make some with my own design because I know you would like that better Sial.
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Most sturdy. The design of the gun itself is cool, but can you angle the front legs outwards? And bulk up the back one? Otherwise, it's good.
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Pretty good, but I have one question. How do you get the gun to it's position, is it by a repulser vehicle or does it have its own lift?
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Thats cool!! I especialy like the way the shell loading mech works, or, looks like it works But seriously, I'm going to have to pinch that design! Well the basic one anywho! If it's ok with you.

It's either towed, carried in segments and assembled in-theater, deployed from the back of a repulsorcraft, carried by a repulsor skiff or sled, or airdropped onto the field. It is not a self-propelled gun, but a field piece.
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Really nice design there Sial, I like the leg coming out, but I think maybe make it a bit thicker, and it is a nice design with the gun and the ammo. Nice creation!
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
That looks realy good Sial, good idea and looks pretty nice. The only thing I don't like is the barrel, not a big fan of those guns. And who makes those backpacks?

It looks really cool Sialboats, I like how it seems simple to make so you can make a ton of them for a battle scene or something.

Two favorite parts are definitely the sight of sorts on the top and the shell cover for covering the shell exhaust. Excellent work!

Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
Really smart design with the back endcap piece folding down for shells to be loaded Sial. My only complaint is that there should be three legs for stabilization.
Re: Golan Arms T-22 Field Piece
That is one of the best breach loading mechanism I have seen. Great work!

Sweet, looks a lot like the WWII artillery.
