G-207 RFGL Team Empty G-207 RFGL Team

It was a small little impulse MOC I whipped up. It's sort of teetering on the edge of the "Is it big enough for a topic?" line Razz. It's also positioned precariously on the precipice of the "Is it a Creation or a Minifig?" cliffside. It's minifigs, with a weapon, so I put it here.

This squad support weapon was designed specifically by BlasTech to provide smaller, planetary militias with greater firepower. Capable of firing over two hundred, forty millimeter high explosive fragmentation grenades per minute, the G-207 was an explosive addition to any military force. But what separated the '207 from other similar models was it's unique construction. First, it was made out of light-weight polymers and composites, bearing only three metal parts. This made the model substantially lighter, and could allow it to be strapped to the back of infantry without the need for portable repulsorlifts. Secondly, the G-207, by changing only a few moving elements, could be converted into the G-213 Repeater. The weapon was both a grenade launcher and a repeating blaster. Thirdly, it was recoil-less, a major improvement over the massive blowback seen in other grenade launchers of the era.

That is very cool looking. I assume that the tube next to the clones gun is another barrel in case it over heats right?

Just read the small text, my bad. That is still a cool design

I don't think so: it looks to me to be a machine-gun attachment.

As for the gun itself, very nice looking. Reminds me of that bastard of a mounted grenade launcher that was oh so hard to get around in GRAW.

Nope, she's a scope. It's a squad support weapon, not an en-placed weapon, which means that there's less ammunition, and a greater need for accuracy.

Oh, that (I guess I ought'a read a lot more carefully...)! Well that's exactly what you said it is - the repeater attachment Wink . If the barrel overheats, you'd be a lunatic to try and field strip 200+ degree Fahrenheit elements of the weapon Razz .

Unless you are stationed on Hoth!

The design is great, but it is a bit bulky to be carried by one guy. I think it would be better if it could break down into two parts.

Read the small type: he says it was made of three composite parts, thus making it lighter to carry. Wink

Inspired by the GL on Future Weapons, I see Wink?

Still, this is a marvellous little peice! It looks so compact, yet so destructive. I might just have to use the design Wink.

That, and the first thumbnail had the team loaded up with the pieces of the unit. Leftmost guy had the gun and the barrels, the rightmost guy had the quadpod.

Same here. I've noticed of how in your bridge moc (For the corps build off) you used the same thing you use for the repeater attachment as a grenade, and of how Ied had two strapped to his back. What are these (I just want to hear one of your awesome on-the-spot descriptions, really Razz).

They're actually incendiary rockets, re-tasked as grenades. The soldier pulls one off of his ammo belt, strikes the bottom of it on his shoulder plate, has about three seconds to lower the grenade from the top of his throw to a position perpendicular to his body, and then lets it fly out of his hand, the hot exhaust channeled harmlessly onto his chest plate. Upon impact, the charge at the top bursts, releasing a fiery cloud of phosphorescent napalm. On initial explosion, the charge burns at over 2000 degrees Fahrenheit, capable of incinerating most carbon-based substances, and severely damaging the circuitry and polymer components of Battle Droids.

Alternatively, the rocket mechanism can be disabled, and the weapon can function as contact-bursting grenade. They also come in Corrosive variants, painted brown; and HE varients, painted grey - as seen here.

Any resemblance between it and the alternate barrel is purely coincidental Razz .
