Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Anybody wanna tell me how to put 2 images into 1? Like this:

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Easy.
Open all four images, create a fifth, blank image. Copy paste them in as new layers, rescaling them to fill a quarter each of the screen. Approximate 'till all of them are in, correct sizes by switching through the four layers, and then path in two straight lines - horizontal and vertical .

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Here ya go DB.
Upload your image onto GIMP.
Select the oval shaped tool.
Now make a bubble of the appropriate size for your text.
Now, use the path tool and make a triangle shape going into your bubble.
Now, make sure that you made a path tab.
Now, right click on the path tab and go to add to selection. The triangle should become part of the bubble.
Right click on the bubble and go to "edit", fill with BG color.Everything should turn white.
Go the the Big A tool which is the text toll and select your font/ size and adjust where the text will go.
Then, type in your text!

TB- Thanks.
Gerrard- Thank you too. I actually figured out another way to make a speech bubble but thank you for the instructions.

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
You mean the Index?
Uh.. I could do it... but I'm too lazy to do in.. one day I'll have to man up and update the Index.

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Eh... Gerrard...
You totally botched the white shadow behind your fellow... you know that, right ? Too many jagged curves make it seem as though you did it in some harder, indeterminable way , when you only needed a a nice white copy of his figure and a gaussian blur of that on a layer beneath him .
I'm thinking about doing a Brush Techniques tutorial, to help people get the most out of their brushes... . Screening layers, gradient customization, jitters, fades, installing new brushes; all sorts of good stuff . I'll do screen caps when I work on Vendetta's GIMP this week.

Well, yeah, in a thumbnail you cant see it all... but at full size - it ain't all that impressive .
Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
True, but is everyone going to be looking at it in full size...(other than this topic) .
Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Gerrard, you do realize that Sial already posted a tutorial for text bubbles, right? It's in (or was, IDK if a mod merged it) the topic called "BOATGimp".
EDIT: Found it, maybe a mod should merge this: http://www.thecabg.net/decals-and-techniques-f10/boatgimp-text-bubbles-t1571.htm
As well as the other GIMP topic, so we don't have people unnecessarily making tutorials.

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Gerrard thanks for that tutorial!
Also sial how do you do your laser effects in your comments? In gimp or another program? If you do do it in gimp do you think you can make a tutorial or tell me the other program you use? Thank you if you can help me!

@ Bizzle on the last page: Where's the smoke? Either the picture's too big for me to see it, or it just isn't there. I don't see it.

I'm sure a lot of the new people and even some guildies knew about that.
And your welcome Darmen.

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
I'm starting to get addicted to Photoshop.
Does anyone want me to make a siggy for them? (limited time only)

Re: GIMP/Photoshop Thread
Bah. There's nothing there that GIMP couldn't do with enough user skill . Photoshop's overpriced and it's features are easily found in freeware like the aforementioned.
Nicely done, though .
