101st Universal Marines
Some of the 101st's best soldiers, Marine Teams consist of two highly trained UMs, one a heavy weapon specialist, and one a skirmisher. They are called Universal Marines because they are handpicked from the 27th Nova Corps, and put through a special, vigorous, six month training scheme, that trains them in basic combat, sniping, CQC, heavy weaponry, piloting and driving until they become second nature. Skirmishers are equipped with a jetpack attachment for their backpacks, and two BT9 High Power rapid blaster pistols. Heavy Weapon Specialists are equipped with a AC-M14 heavy repeater, a carbine, and a blast shield for their helmets. When the 101st is invading a planet, the first to set down on it's surface are Universal Marines.
A big thank you to everybody who provided ideas !
The scope is hiding it, but the HWS has the same torso as the skirmisher, except with 1 line on his right breastplate.[/b][/center]

Re: 101st Universal Marines
Interesting design. The Sharpie/Paint/[Insert Customizing method here] is well done.
For the visor, did you poke holes with a hot needle, or did you just click it under the "ring"?

Thanks! I just placed it under the ring. Fits perfectly!

Re: 101st Universal Marines
Yep. I've done it too. The bad thing is that the visor expands, so it can't be used on a normal Clone Trooper helmet afterwards .-Aki- wrote:Thanks! I just placed it under the ring. Fits perfectly!

Wait, if they're from the Nova Corps, they already HAVE that training.

Galactic Marines...
Universal Marine...
*giggle*
While the name is a laughing matter, the figs are not. These are some of your better figures yet, Aki. Precise sharpie work, solid customization, decent weapon concepts .

Re: 101st Universal Marines
I know the name leaves a bit to be desired, but that's all I could think of .
@Alpha: Not really. Their cross trained. Any comments on the figs?

Re: 101st Universal Marines
Why not just the 101st Marines?
Anyway, the customs are great. They look very clean and simple. Nice work on them.
