Future Golden Gate Bridge
I created a future post-apocalyptic Golden Gate Bridge in the form of a vignette. Right now I'm too tired to directly host images but I have my whole back story, and many pictures on my mocpages. Here is the link if you are interested.

That's a very nice MOC! I like it, but I wish it wouldn't happen soon.

That's the great thing about the Earth: It ain't gonna happen!
Looks neat and well done; I like the base and the 'arm' which holds it up!

great job on colors and the base. I would be cool if you made a bignette of it and showed the whole thing.
Edit: You know about my "g"...

Actually it is inevitable that everything we've created will fall to time, and over millions of millions of years all the water will be burned off Earth's surface from the growing heat of the sun. Now of course we're not looking at any of this obviously happening during our life-times but it's still fun to make mocs of
I did create a lot of greebles to add a more ruined/detailed effect, and yes some pieces are meant to look like old ruined cars and what-not.
As for making a bigger moc, I think it would be an awesome idea, but I just don't think I have the red pieces for a scale like that yet.

I wouldn't expect this to happen until the Tribulation, but nice moc! I love all the ruins of cars, it has an effect where ash has spread across the bridge. It would be cool if the red parts were brown though, after all the dust and ash has covered it, it wouldn't be cleaned anymore and it would have a war torn look to it!

That's just the point; my dad was recently watching a History Channel program telling us 'We have to go green becuase if we don't, in a billion years there will be no human life on the planet!'
A billion years?
It's at times like these when you have to focus on the present and your current life and leave the next millenium to the population of the next millenium.

Now now, I didn't say it WASN'T important, I'm just saying that stuff like carbon credits is over the edge. Hybrid cars I am totally OK with; yesterday when my uncle came up from *********** to be my sponsor in Confirmation he had a new Toyota Camry. The Hybrid model. The electric engine was amazing... It was so quiet... And it has MPG meters, and other stuff like that...
Paying money is one thing; actually SAVING things on your own deal is another.
But let's not stray too much :spammers: , lest we be lost in a mire of confusing debate!

Thanks Zeph, I'll be sure to take a peek at yours as well!
Jedi Joe- Idealy, yes more ash/rustic brown colors would have been acceptable, but I really couldn't/didn't feel the right flow when I mixed the colors together. At such a small scale it's hard to blend such different colors into each other, and at the same time make it look very realistic- which was what I was trying to hit upon.
Also going green is very important as we begin to run out of the rescources that we currently use today. It's funny whenever I hear "going green" I picture really high tech vehicles/buildings that are usually shiny or white, and an earth that is tropical, lush, and very green
