The 416th Legion


The 416th Legion (Formerly the 417th Legion, before I saw the “417th Specialized Legion” on wiki.) commonly known as the “Gold Diggers” because of their blue and gold color scheme. The 416th is a standard GAR legion (none of that fancy Spec Ops, stealth, and elite legion stuff). It’s still currently a work in progress, as I need to finish the Phase 1 version and come up with a more creative/deep background for the legion and its commander.

Jedi Master Zek Qiyet
Zek Qiyet was born and raised on the planet of Dantooine. His parents were from a wealthy background, and lived a peaceful life. His father wanted Zek to follow his footsteps, and become a farmer. However, Zek was interested more in wildlife. He would wonder off early in the morning, and spend the day playing with all the creatures, who were as affectionate as if he were one of their species Even Kath Hounds treated him like a cub. This was due to his unique ability, thanks to the force, which allowed tricked most non-sentient and semi-sentient species into thinking he was one of their own. However, when he was playing with a young Kath Hound, something went wrong, the effect stopped, and the Kath Hound attacked. He was badly wounded, as the Kath Hound had savaged his throat. He was then saved by a Dantarian Jedi Master, Malask Uak, who tended to his wounds and healed him, using the force. However, Zek lost his ability to speak. Malask noted his high Midiclorian count, and took him to Coruscant. His parents presumed he was dead. Because he was ten, too old for training, the council were about to reject him, when Uak suggested he be given a small amount of training, then become Uak's padawan. After much debate, they agreed. Strangely enough, Zek was extremely skilled at both the force and at a lightsaber, so after two weeks, he knew as much as if he bad been training for two years. After ten years, he became a knight, and, by then, was well known and respected throughout the Jedi Order. After sixteen years, he became a master. A few weeks later, the Clone Wars started. Him and his former master were among the Jedi on Geonosis. Zek, however, witnessed Uak being crushed by a hailfire droid. Afterwards, despite being stricken, he was put in command of the 416th Legion.
Despite not being able to communicate normally, he could "Plant" messages into his comrade's minds. Throughout the 26 years of being a Jedi, he mastered his ability to communicate with animals, and would often summon hordes of insects, predators or birds to attack the enemy. This was extremely effective, and he soon was known as "The Communicator" by Commander Foley. This was only a joke however, and he and his men respected him a great deal. Sigh. I remember that B.C. (before CABG) that blue and gold was the colors of thr 613rd Corps, before I had to change it to 47th legion.
Therefore I love the colors.
The paint is nice and even, though phase 2 Foley is a bit of a mess.
I love the commandos.

Thanks! They're my two favorite colors.
His Phase 2 armor is quite messy, probably due to the fact that he was around the third clone I had ever custom painted; meaning before I had any skill. I've cleaned him up a bit since that picture, but I might just paint another "blank" clone torso to replace his current one.
