Clone Commander Bly

Post by Troopa Daisy on Sat Oct 24, 2009 5:14 pm

Clone Commander Bly that I made a few months ago in like June. The body is that of LEGO's Star Corps trooper and the macros are Arealight's that I modified. The macros will be painted later. The pauldron and kama are by MMCB and the gun is from Little Arms Shop. I had a hard time applying the decals for Bly's helmet as the decals I used for the stripe down his helmet are actually for the yellow ARC trooper commander. Bad pics, I had to use flash, but oh well. Feel free to comment. Here it is, enjoy! Smile

Yeah, everything here is very well, especially the helmet!

But as said, the right leg decal is is a bit crooked and uneven.

Boo, ya want to see my clone trooper, custom made by me...but I don't know how to post it. Help

Admin - Stop hijacking topics. We do NOT want to see your clone trooper in this topic. This is to discuss Commander Bly. I suggest you read the Constitution and all of the FAQ forum before you find yourself banned.

His username is Gerrard, so you call him Gerrard, not Boo. Also, we don't want to see your clone trooper here, this is my topic, not yours. If you want to post yours, get in the guild first! You can see how to post a pic if you read the how do I post images in the FAQ section. Mad Wink

Yes, the right leg is slightly messed up. I was cutting the legs with a scalpel and the blade slipped, which scratched off a bit of the image on the leg decal. As for the applying, what happened was I placed it neatly but when I varnished it, it got disoriented and moved a bit. Wink

That's okay. Smile By the way, your spelling of friend is incorrect. Just for your advice, it would be better if you called him by his username or what they are known as on this forum as that way the rest of us know who you are referring to. I'm happy to be your friend too. You can PM me a pic of your clone trooper and I'd be happy to see it. PM me if you still don't know how to host images and I'd be glad to tell you how. Smile

Now lets get back on topic. Smile

The Arealight Macrobinoculars look... lopsided, but have to admit it's one of the better Commander Blys that I've seen. A lot better than the people's on YouTube. Razz

Oh, and I tried to make Arealight Macrobinoculars fit on my Commander Bly, but it only lasted about a day or two. I made a slit near the top, which looks similar to what you did. How'd you make them fit?

The macros look lopsided because Arealight's were meant for the Phase 2 troopers and I had to modify it to fit a CW helmet. What I did was I used a blowdryer to heat it up so it would be easier to change (like clay) and I bent the two ends slightly closer together so that it would fit on the CW helmet. If you use this technique, be careful while bending it though, as I have cracked one of my macros while doing this. Smile
