RC-101 "Zero"

RC-101 is the 101st's only Republic Commando, the other three killed. He was one of the very first batch of RC's to be spawn and trained like any other commando, but there was a genetic flaw that means that he grows at a slightly slower pace than his brothers. It was only his skill with heavy weapons and a visit from Alec, the 101st's general, that saved him. However, on Geanosis, he was assigned to take out a droid bunker. However, he set the explosives too early, which detonated, killing his squadmates, wounding him, and brought the facility. With a peice of shrapnel stick in his stomach and weapons in hand, he fought his way out the facility, but arrived too late, and the Venator's left him. It was only a half-destroyed Geanosion starfighter that got him out. He then flew himself to Kamino, where he was redeployed to the 101st. He was permantly distraught by the death of his pod brothers, which he blamed on himself. The shrapnel meant he had to have extensive surgery to have it removed, giving him a nastly scar across his torso.

I'm personally very proud of this.

He looks really good. I like the story that you gave him. I feel sad for his pod brothers though.

That is a very nice fig. Did you use stickers? The only flaw is that the gun looks to modern, but other than that it is one awesome fig.

Good fig and backstory. Where did you get the pauldron though?

Very nice fig, but I have a problem with the story. Doesn't the aging-half-as-fast thing mean he ages at normal human rate, and is therefore ten years old? I know the clones have a lot of genetic modification and behavioural conditioning, but c'mon - a ten-year old isn't gonna make a great commando.

But wouldn't that mean he would grow half the time as a regular human and would be only like 5, or are you saying that he grows three-fourths the speed of other clones and he's about 15? Anyway its a great looking decal, I can tell its just a black fixer design which you asked for earlier on the decal request topic, who's design did you use anyway?

Nice clone commando. Good story line also. It really doesn't matter if he is 10 or 15. That doesnt mean he can't be a good commando. Look at Boba Fett he started around that age.

That wouldn't work for what I'm planning to do with him. I'm planning for him to be alive at the time of the Empire, and serves as the 101st's commander.

So? At normal clone rate, he'd physically be about 40 in ANH and about 50 in ROTJ - not too old for someone in a position of high command.

Now I just need to think up a reason why he was originally prone to termination .

It's a nice commando, really nice. I think that is your best work so far.
