Christmas Train

Post by 667thLegion on Tue Dec 22, 2009 2:10 am

So every year (since last year) I have made a Christmas style train to go around the tree. This year, I was originally going to make the Polar Express, but realized I was using all my black in another MOC, and the base body for the train was white. Sad So instead, I decided to make a Christmasified version of a Sante Fe, called the "Santa Claus". Enjoy, and be sure to check out the gallery, there is a video of the train running. Wink

Looking very cool, but it's rather blocky. What about adding some riles and plates to get a more curved shape?

Yeah, maybe not just use 2x4's, use some smaller pieces and give it a more "train" like shape. Otherwise, pretty cool. Wink

That's my problem. I don't have many curved red and green peices. I didn't like the outcome of the back of the engine either, but it will have to do. Hopefully by next Christmas, I will have pieces to make a better looking train. But it is a big improvement from last years.. Wink

This looks pretty good, but the top of the first train appears to be in grey. Maybe if that was in white it would look better. Other than that, I think it looks great! Smile

Yep, its grey. But I like it like that, and don't have big enough white plates, so it will stay that way. Wink
