1. Never call your own creations awesome.
2. Give us links to pictures, not the picture itself.

Other than that, welcome to CABG.

Your customs look pretty on the level, although I would recommend a slightly less egotistic and eccentric username.

Agreed. Your creations are pretty above average (compared to MOC-pages) but you can't compare yourselves to those lower than you. You should strive to compare yourself against the more influential and better modders. Being cocky with an attitude doesn't help that much either.

Being good at modifying a minifigure is pretty cool but you clearly need to work on your Building skills. We are a "Builders" Guild not a "minifigure modifying" Guild. Wink

You are most welcome here, egos, however, are not.
It's just a username, I have not acted selfish.

This is a builder's guild, not a minifig modifying guild.
Which is why I have a folder for my clone creations (built). I never even posted a minifig here.

Your creations are pretty good compared to mocpages.
Thanks.

Honestly, I just make a username, Custom King, and you all come down on me like a hailstorm. For both parts of it. In one day. Waaa!

Actually I think you have given us some MOCs and minifigures to look at.

MOCs

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=396851
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=413088

Minifigs

http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?m=Custom-King

So like I said before you Minifigs are cool. Now time to start working on your building skills. Wink

Some of your Brickshelf descriptions are pretentious.

The problem is that your username, 'Custom King', in itself, implies that you think you're the best at customizing. Now, I can't speak for everyone else, but that's my first impression. And first impressions are very important.

While your customs are alright, they're not exactly the greatest quality. And your MOCs...you really need to improve on them. A good Guild Member is a balanced builder, good at multiple aspects of building and creating minifigures.

That's what I think, at least.

Fixed. Believe it or not, after reading the Lego catalog for too long... just don't read it too long.

implies that you think you're the best at customizing

That has gotten me a lot of heck from everyone, I might change it, but "king" really is not that... bad? Seriosly, it's New Years and we are all arguing about the word "king" and it's meaning. Wow this thing looks'oh:

And your MOCs...you really need to improve on them. A good Guild Member is a balanced builder, good at multiple aspects of building and creating minifigures.

I'm working on it, I've made a small CABG vignette, just needs finalizing.

Really guys. Its one thing to come down on him for his skills at building, it's another to come down on him for a username. My name is 'Hazard with a Glove', but that doesn't mean I'm a hazardous glove.....does it? Razz

I agree, usernames are meant to fun, unique, etc.

Your username is fine. Just always remember there's always someone out there better then each of us. Wink

See, now this is an example of the arrogance that has been coming to play in the latter months that I mentioned at length in the GMA. You guys are indeed supposed to act experienced because you ARE experienced, but also to be fair to new members.

You've, for the most part, ignored the three-word motto underneath the name on the banner that you can see by conveniently moving the scroll-bar up to the top of whatever CABG page you happen to be browsing.

And on to the username thing: For example, if my username was Crystal King, would that mean I'm the self-proclaimed Best Power Miner of All time? No.

Welcome to Cabg Custom King.

@ Custom King

Would I name my self the decal king NO cause I'm being modest about my work and there's always some one better then I am (Cg). My point is I would ask CC007 for a name change. To some thing more modest and not as noobish. Wink
