Delta-7 Aethersprite [Modified]

So... yeah. Flickr description:

I saw a verison of this by another user here on Flickr, and thought the ship was too cool not to make. I tried not to look at his after I started building mine, and I hope it's different enough. Here's the Wookieepedia page:

So, any thoughts?

The back looks good, but I don't really like the arrow shape in the front. Wink

I miss those comics with cheesy dialogue. The Moc's shape is excellent and very accurate, great job Sith.

Sorry, I guess I was kind of unclear. Embarassed I meant that the area from the back to the front should be slightly sharper and the arrow part looked kind of thick. Wink

Wow you copyed it so well,(80%) it all most looks like it. The back end and the window needs some work, other then that it is great.

It looks like someone just stripped off most of the front of the ship to make it speedier, and added some heavier weaponry. It also looks like it's halfway stuck between an Aethersprite and an Eta. Good work Sith. Smile

Good call, it's definitely worthy. Hey wait a minute, where is the rest of that R2 unit upfront?! Razz

One of the best non-staff MOC I've seen on CABG, it's definately got my vote! Smile

Oh, gotcha. I agree; I need to work on the front.

mazz wrote:Wow you copyed it so well,(80%) it all most looks like it. The back end and the window needs some work, other then that it is great.
You like the front? Odd. It seems to be the opposite with everyone else. Razz Thanks!

That's what I thought too; apparently this is what it's supposed to look like with the side panels blown away to reveal the guns. I also noticed the similarity to the Eta-- must be those wing tips. Thanks Legorev, it means a lot! Smile

Wow, I didn't see that coming! O_O Thank you DY! Smile

legorevolution wrote:Good call, it's definitely worthy. Hey wait a minute, where is the rest of that R2 unit upfront?!
Haha; yanno, I didn't even notice it until someone on Flickr brought it up. Here's the explanation:
Wookieepedia wrote:The size of the craft also would not allow for a factory model astromech droid navigator, as future starfighters such as the T-65 X-wing starfighter used. Instead, astromech droids were integrated directly into the starfighter, with only the droid's truncated heads visible

MikeZulu wrote:I thought you were making up cr*p here, but I see now. Very sleek and well designed. Good job!
Oh... uh, thank you.

Tac wrote:One of the best non-staff MOC I've seen on CABG, it's definately got my vote!
Thanks very much, Tac!

Rook wrote:Wow all I can say is the Guild is bringing it this month! After a barely there December another excellent MOC.
Thanks Rook-- glad I could create something appealing! Razz

Big thanks to everyone; you've really made my day. I haven't been able to get to bed before 2AM due to school work, so this has definitely improved my mood. Again, thanks. =D
