Red Alert! Red Alert!
My Red alert Vignette. I worked on it about 2 weeks on my spare time but I went through several revisions to get it to where it is now. I am not a master builder but I didn't want to come off as a novice. I think it came out great for my first real Vignette and my limited supplies of lego pieces.
Here it is with the alarm going off.
The clone troopers braced for action with one reckless rookie running into battle.
Droids coming through to invade.
These are random angles shots.
Red alert and lights, on and off comparison.
I might add some more to this in the future and If I do decide to go that route you will see this in the WIP section.
I had a different vision for when I started this but I am glad on how it came out.
Visit the flickr set for more pictures.
C&C is welcomed.

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Thanks, but I meant the first 4-5 versions I had looked like novice.
I kept asking myself what each of the guild members would pick at and tell me should have been fixed. I had 1 version the wall was all white, another version where I was using a tan brick that made the walls look like a cabin. I finally had it where I thought it was great until my son came along and knocked it off the table and tried piecing it back together before I came back to the room. He ended up making such a mix up of the whole thing that I decided to start from scratch.
I am glad I did, this came out far better then what it looked like.

Very nice! I like the lighting, how do you do it?

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Did you use light bricks, or just regular lights to light the this MOC? Nice job with it, I like the walls! But what's with the droid in the doorway, where's his legs?
Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Thanks, I just used a lot of transparent bricks I got from Lego store's Pick-A-Brick wall, and a light in the back. If you mean the white to red at the bottom, I had a 1x1 square behind the top of the frost transparent slope on the bottom. This allowed for it to look normal with no light behind it and once the light was placed behind it the red bled into the transparent slope which angled down.
I wanted to try to do a black light experiment but didn't think it wise to buy a black light just yet.
He's coming through the door way, not all the way through... kind of like peeking in . I just did that to test out how it would look to have the droid hanging in the door way.

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Wow, this is just awesome! Great job on the SNOT hallway. Is the red light a Lego one?
Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
To answer the question here is a make up of the red lighting.
So basically this all runs across the back of the vig, then you shine a light on the back and you get the glow look.

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Try any color combination. Red was the only one that made sense for the scene.
Though I don't know what other lights I would combine:P.

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Ah finally, Eclipse's long awaited debut moc! Well done mate! The cleanliness easy layout of this moc is fantastic, and the red lighting was really a nice touch! This scene kinda reminds me of a hallway on Kamino. I only have two complaints for you: one being I don't like the droids ghetto blasters, and two being this isn't technically a vignette. Vignettes are confined to 8x8 baseplates. We could call this a modular midnette or something.
Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Excellent use of different greebles and slopes to create an interesting hallway! The different lighting effects give the MOC a real enclosed mechanized fell and sells the “inside a ship” effect.

Honestly, I didn't know what droid guns were supposed to look like until you mentioned it and I never liked these "ghetto guns" I don't even know how I got stuck with them. I was going to give them blasters but then I thought, "where did the droids get clone blasters". I just looked at some videos on youtube and realized I should have gone with my original impulse. Oh well, as I've said before, I'm not that seasoned yet.
About the vignette, I didn't know:P from now on I will just call it a "scene" or "build" to play it safe.
Thanks for the comments. I honestly have to say I learned a lot from the masters of this site.
Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Very nice build! The overall smoothness marks you out as a good builder right away!

Very well done, it looks very true to the Clone Wars. How did you make the smooth floor, that was amazing .

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
This is fantastic . The red light idea was something I would never have thought of.
I like the positioning of the clones and the detail on the walls.

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Thanks for the comments. The floor is just tiles. I considered every part of the MOC to be very important so I wanted the floor to be nice as well. I will be updating the pictures soon to get rid of the "ghetto guns" that LegoRev mentioned, but this MOC has already been taken apart.
It was hard to destroy my first successful MOC. I let my son play with it for a day before a took it apart to use the pieces for the next MOC I am working on.

Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
First, congrats on getting into the guild eclipse. Second, keep up your creativity!
Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
Really good job on the build! This is totally awesome! I never thought about the idea of adding lights to my Legos!
Just a friendly edit here, the plural of Lego is Lego, not Legos. LEGO is a brand name, therefore a plural like 'Legos' doesn't exist.

I got to say I really like this. It has just the right amount of detail and the incorporation of lights is just awesome. Well done!

Fantastic! Better than most Guild Member MOCs! I think it'll look nice in the Portal at the end if the month.
Re: Red Alert! Red Alert!
The picture quality is very nice compared to others here.
One thing you're missing.....some king of back drop, then it'd be really good.
