Re: The CABG Gazette
Hmmmmm Teams you say?
*Imagines awesome builders with himself on a team*
"You can't match the power of this fully operational battle station!"
:fangs:
*Snaps back into reality*
Well at least I have been improving my building skills by making a mech recently.

Rook is a staff, he will not be able to MOC for the guildies.

Funny I was going to choose tac next:P
But I am sure there will be some way to make it more fair.
Team captains... would be funny/interesting if it were like the real olympics and it would go by country....
But I think that would cause too much division and defeat the purpose of the CABGO, which is to untie us.
What ever it will be I need to build up my building skills fast...
Re: The CABG Gazette
Managed to find a PM I sent to CG with some more details in:
Rook wrote:2 weeks each with 2 days between for judging.
CABGO II: June 1st to July 31st.
We can run this in place our regular monthly contests.
First round bottom 25% get cut. June 1st - June 14th
Judging on June 15th & 16th
2nd round bottom 33% get cut. (Which is actually 25% of the original number.) June 17th - June 30th
Judging on July 1st & 2nd
3rd round bottom 50% get cut. (Which is actually 25% of the original number.) July 3rd - July 16th
Judging on June 17th & 18th
4th round battles for prizes. July 19th - July 31st
Judging on August 1st & 2nd
Re: The CABG Gazette
But that schedule, I am assuming, is old since we are starting in July 1st and was just an example of the break down?
Re: The CABG Gazette
Have any of you ever wondered how many guildies would actually willingly pick non-guildies? If I can't get in by July, I don't want to feel left out.

From what I remember, it's Staff against Staff, Guildies against Guildies and Non-Guildies against Non-Guildies.
Re: The CABG Gazette
I'm not 100% sure how the teams will work either, but I want to clarify something.
We have three categories, one for staff, one for guildies, and one for non-guildies.
And we have separate prizes for each category, so chances are teams will be within each category.
EDIT: DAMMIT TAC!!

Re: The CABG Gazette
How about the teams work as a staff member gets to be one Team Captain, and then they pick their team? Like a draft of sorts.

Re: The CABG Gazette
If Tac had a choice to pick his team this picture would explain how they would do in the competition:
I would doubt that we would want our CABGO 2 to go..

Re: The CABG Gazette
For you guys to see. I've asked Rook about the council thing, and I'm going to put something on it in the full Gazette.

Wow, that cold of mine is getting bad.
Re: The CABG Gazette
Looks good, in the future you may want to just say "a council member" rather then stating the member’s name. Usually stating the name just leads to issues like applicants sending annoying PMs trying to get that council member to change their mind or explain more. When really that comment was directed towards other council members and not the applicant.
Re: The CABG Gazette
Oh that sucks, I need to get in the guild soon or else I'll be stuck with non-guildies(no offense intended, I'm not a guildie).
Re: The CABG Gazette
I'm going to stick with being a non-guildie so I don't have to face amazing builders.

Re: The CABG Gazette
Oh I just thought of that. PM me some of your MOCs. I've been a non-guildie for like, one year .Alpha Beta wrote:I'm going to stick with being a non-guildie so I don't have to face amazing builders.

That'll be interesting
Teams would just make this contest way more complicated then need be.
Re: The CABG Gazette
But who doesn't love complication?
At least, when they're not the one's orchestrating it all...
