Assault on the Chapel
On the 9th Of June, 1944, a small squad of the 506th PIR (101st Airborne Division) were ordered to storm and capture a small chapel on the eastern outskirt of the city of Carentan. This specific chapel had been transformed into a radio-transmitting station by the germans, allowing them to relay messages to berlin and back. It was vital that this stopped happening. Although it was not heavily armoured, and already damaged from bombing raids, it was still jam-packed with Wehrmacht soldiers, and SS Patrols passed every half an hour. 7 Allied Infantry men stormed the chapel from the front and back, leading to a swift success in the end. (Note: This backstory is completely made up by me to fit the MOC )
Onto the actual MOC itself: I was never really pleased with the damaged buildings I've made in the past, and had originally wanted to make a bell tower with a sniper at the top (COD2) inspired but realized I didn't have enough pieces to build it that high and left it like this. Of course, playability is a must in my book, and so the roof and top floor is removalbe to get to the bottom. Yes, stairs are also included I think the stand-ins I've made for the radio's are alrigth, but could be better. Anyway, I quite enjoyed building this and think I pulled off the hole in the roof well. C&C appreciated.
(Note: Custom accessories by MMCB, Brickarms, Sluban and Brickforge. None (including prototypes) are for trade.)
If you took the time to read this long description, Bravo. Thanks!

Skipped the description. Only read the first sentence and the one that congratulated those who read the whole thing.
Looks superb. The roof's damage is well done, and I like the exterioir shapes a lot. The interior looks cramped, there may have been a way to utilise the space better, or else even bult a little bigger, but still, all and all it's very good.

It's a very nice build PhiMa, but I think the tree could have a few more leaves building upwards. Other than that, again, great build!

I still read it, although I read the last sentence first.
Quite nice, although the area on the roof looks more like a cross section then damaged IMO.

Re: Assault on the Chapel
Very good Phima. I like the sand bags/barrier too, and the effects added to the shooting was a great touch. The chapel itself
is really well built with plenty of details, but would've been better with a bell tower like you said. Overall, great build.

That was really good! Mind if I use the sandbag design and I'll give credit.

Is this sarcasm or genuine shock? I mean this is pretty crazy of you not knowing and being one of the CABG's WWII experts.

Nice work! It kinda looks like a World at War scene. I love the damaged roof and the radio part is awesome. In short, EPIC!
