GS series mechs
Some creations from back around Christmas I finally got around to taking pictures of. Finally happy with my lighting set-up and editing process.
They are all built on the same frame so I didn't see a reason for separate topics.
Group shot:
GS-001 Hunter:
GS-002 Heavy:
GS-003 Enforcer:
Flickr gallery
C&C welcome.

Re: GS series mechs
Very nice bots, especially the hunter. Also is that thing on top of the enforcers gun a rail for mounting things?
Re: GS series mechs
All I can say is Epic YUM!
LOve LOVE LOVE.... I can't find anything wrong with these and I am not surprised they weren't scrapped!
Give it a good back story *cough* clone story *cough*.

Re: GS series mechs
Did you intend for the red mech's gun to resemble an Assault Rifle from Halo? From the shots, it looks like a very close match.

I just noticed that......it does look MA5B(c)-like, except for the giant side mounted flashlight. Still, great work on the mechs, but I think the neck joint looks really flimsy and exposed. If they were fighting I would imagine their necks would be targeted.

Thanks everyone for all your comments.
It wasn't intentional but it certainly does look like it.Ham701 wrote:Did you intend for the red mech's gun to resemble an Assault Rifle from Halo? From the shots, it looks like a very close match.
A few of the joints are flimsy, the neck especially because its just a t-bar held in by friction to the clip. These guys were basically built as test with body proportions and pose ability. I'd love to revisit them later and bulk them up to fit a minifig.cloneperson1 wrote:

Wow, there are great. Yea they do need to bulk up, other then that, there are fine. Keep it up.
Re: GS series mechs
The small elongated heads are an interesting touch, in a good sense. How sturdy is the connection at the ankles though? The lighting/shopping is nice too.
Re: GS series mechs
The ankles are quite strong, the weight is pretty well balanced so the whole thing is pretty sturdy.
