Felucia Contest Entry *Updated Pics*

Post by bl*c on Thu Apr 15, 2010 2:35 am

Well here is my Felucia entry for this months contest. It's my first try at this planet and I think it came out well Surprised. It's not finished, a few pieces are missing, but I didn't see why it should have gone in the WIP section. Plenty of inspiration came from the Felucias of the past(DY's, Revo's, and Knight's in particular.)CC welcome. Enough talking, here it is; I hope you enjoy it. Smile

Pretty nice, but I think it would look better if the plants were all about the same size not some small and some gigantic. Wink Smile

Nice job Bl*c. The size of the flowers/fungus is really great. I am particularly drawn to that spiked plant. You really need to get a poster board and some better lighting for pics though to show off your mocs. Wink

I would reshoot your pictures. You'll lose some votes just because of poor picture quality. Wink

Rook has a big point. The back is too distracting.

Nice job though but with proper photos it will increase the look of this.

Good call Wink I'd try some additional lighting as well. If you've got two lamps I'd place them on either side of the poster board to get maximum lighting. I've found fluorescent lights work quite well too.

Should the flash be on if I use the two lamps? And do you have any suggestions for settings?

From what I can see, bl*c, it is looking fairly good. Although, better pics may make it look even better.

If I saw that in a shop, I wouldn't have to read the label and I'd still know it was Felucia, it's that like the planet! But you do need better lighting, as the others have said.

With the new pics it looks so much better. As others have said the spike plant is great, but the plant that uses boga tails is even better IMO! This has my vote for sure! Wink Thumbs up
