Republic Light Cruiser
Well here it is! The Republic Light Cruiser! It took about 1 and a half months to build. It's a little bigger than the 6211 (see pick below), and has about 4500 pieces +/-500 pieces. The interior didn't have as much room as I hoped, so some parts lack detail. I had a great time building it, and plan on making more big ships. So here it is!
Exterior!
Next to the 6211 ISD playset.
Interior!
Training room.
Main room/command room.
Meditation room.
The medical center
The hall/entrance.
Main doors (closed).
Main doors (open).
The nose door.
Enjoy!

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
WOW! That's amazing. You should definitely continue making big ships if they're all this good.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
Knight, you amaze me once again. The interior is AMAZING, while the exterior could use a bit of work on the bridge.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
Awesome. That is all I can say. If you sold that how much would you sell it for? Needs more guns though.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
I think the side paneling sticks out a little too far (it grows outside of the wedgeplates set atop it), and think the thing is just a little bit too thick. I know it has to be that size to hold minifig's but it just looks kind of akward.
Re: Republic Light Cruiser
Well, while the interior is very nice, the exterior seems a little too thick, as in where the top plates and the bottom plates meet. Love the exterior, though!
Re: Republic Light Cruiser
At first glance, it looks akward, the engines are too close together, the bridge is too elevated, and it looks too small, then when you showed us the interior, . It is good after you get used to the ship, and the overall size. Also nice touch comparing it to a star destroyer, I scrapped mine, it was falling apart to much.
EDIT: I looked at the engines again, and I confused the bricks inbetween for engines, sorry.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
Amazing! This is really cool! I think you should use more dark red and white angled pieces to fill in the gaps near the bottom of the
bridge/ahead of the engines and down the middle . Overall, great job!
Edit: Wheres Dek at? Found him.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
It depends on the piece count, but I would never sell it anyways. There are only 6 guns on the real thing, so I'm not going to add any.customhelmetsman wrote:If you sold that how much would you sell it for? Needs more guns though.
The bricks are for structure and for some shape. I couldn't find any views of the back, so I went with structure.Alpha Beta wrote:EDIT: I looked at the engines again, and I confused the bricks inbetween for engines, sorry.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
That's cool, the ship isn't that well know anyways, so I understand why you said add guns.customhelmetsman wrote:Sorry I didn't look at the link until after I posted.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
The side area is a bit too thick, lower it a bit. The edges are jagged, making it look somewhat too blocky. Also, lower the bridge a bit, it looks like its up a bit too high.
Re: Republic Light Cruiser
Love the interior, and in that case, the exterior as well, But maybe 5-6 studs long IMO. Otherwise, amazing work!
Re: Republic Light Cruiser
One of the best ships I have ever seen ! I hope you make more big ships, maybe you could make one for the CIS, and then put them head to head against each other in a comic or movie.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
The exterior (especially the sides and back) plating is thick, other then that this is a great job!

R.E Republic light cruiser
I love it! Dont scrap it, cause if you keep getting the pieces you can make a republic fleet! With the imp star destroer and stuff. Anyway I like the interior but like you said not much room, the exterior needs more guns other wise brilliant!

Didn't you hear what has already been said? It's supposed to have that amount of guns on it.
Anyway, this is quite good Knight. I agree with the others though about the blockiness of it, but I know you'll produce something even better next time.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
The studless sides don't contrast well with the studded top, but the overall shape is good and the interior is awesome.

Everything is great except for the cockpit, I really don't like the window design whatsoever.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
You should definantly keep this around for a while and make a Recusant-Class Light Destroyer to battle it in a MOC.

Re: Republic Light Cruiser
I was like, that doesn't look right. The things which people have highlighted are all true about the bridge etc. But then I saw the interior! Fantastic.
