What color should the yellow area be changed to?
Air Speedster (updated with police version)
Originally one of the fastest speeders to ever race through the sky lanes of Coruscant, the new Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) is ready and able to bring any traffic violator to justice.

I would like to say how much I love headlight bricks. I don't know how many I used on this, but it was a lot. I'm also quite happy with how the front and rear lights came out.
I am more into starfighters, so building something like this was very new, and proved to be lots of fun.
There are a lot of other details in the gallery.

^Agreed.
This is awesome! I love all the greebles and techniques used here. What I hate is that now I don't know which ofyour entries your
speeders is better.

Good job, but I don't see something that really says wow, IMO.

Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
This one doesn't flow as much as the other one. It's just... meh. The silver and yellow just don't work.
Good luck in the voting!

Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
A very nice build, although the colors yellow and white don't really fit together.
Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
So would it be betterif I changed the yellow to white or black?
Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
I like the yellow... Makes it look flashy and speedy... Just my opinion though.... If you are going to change it.... maybe black.

I would say white because that would look like a car with black stripes unless you want to show more black.
Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
I like the idea of like any shade of green actually. Like olive or something. Not as vibrant as yellow but still gives it a flashy look. If not green than black

If you change it, it should be black. Kind of like a Cop car.

It looks great the way it is. I particularly like the back area and that hatch. Totally makes it!
Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
Green would be nice, but I'm limited to the those three colors because of part selection.Sieve wrote:I like the idea of like any shade of green actually. Like olive or something. Not as vibrant as yellow but still gives it a flashy look. If not green than black
Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
Right now it actually looks like a police car merged with a taxi. So I'd change the black to dark grey and that that would solve the issue. Also I'd change the blue head lights to another color since it adds to the cop car/taxi feel.
PS: Added “Other” to your poll because I didn’t think A, B, or C were the “correct” answer(s).

Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
You did what!! Thanks I appreciate the input.
The police car idea sounds interesting actually. Maye it could be a high performance pursuit car. Sort of like the cop dodge chargers I see every once and awhile.
Unfortunately the dark grey stripes fall into the category of things that I would love to try, but don't have parts or time to acquire them.
I will try out black, white, and the police idea, and see what I get before the fast approaching deadline.
Thanks everyone.

Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
I said it looks like a cop/taxi now. But making it into a police racer is a good idea. Cops have to chase down those street illegal racers in the SWU too.
PS: I'm stealing your side air vents technique.

Spray paint is always an option. If you actually do like the idea of spray painting, I would suggest getting Krylon fusion paint for plastic.

...Why would he spray paint lego if almost every single colour out there is available in LEGO?
Re: Air Speedster (updated with police version)
If you read up he said Dark gray or gray is not an availible collor for him, So a GOOD spray paint job may be the way to go.

The new PPV
The police conversion has been made with black instead of yellow, and I am much happier with it. Thank you everyone for you valued input. Pictures will be up as soon as possible.
Edit: Here is the updated version.
Originally one of the fastest speeders to ever race through the sky lanes, the new Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV) is ready to bring any traffic violator to justice.
