727th Trooper

Post by Jedi Joe on Mon May 10, 2010 3:39 pm

Yes, the Men in Red are back! Well, sorta. I did this with one of my helmet casts and some sharpies. Yes, it is a closed-visor PII helmet.

Enjoy! C&C Welcome. Smile

I like it. Sharpie job seems to be rather clean.

How so? You don't like the closed visor?

Otherwise, it's the exact same as Lego's PII helmet.

I think he meant the visor decal, It's just to small,

It's not a decal, I sharpied it on.

It looks pretty good. I think paint would be better though.

The helmet almost looks "chubbier" than the normal lego model.

Edit: I think it might be the mouth piece at the bottom.

I mean the actual visor looks a bit too small, but other than that I think it is quite good.

I think the mouth piece is too "high." But still, nice casting and sharpie job. Smile

I agree, the helmet seems different, but I don't know how.

Hmmm... the sharpies not bad, somewhat messy though, and the helmet doesn't exactly look like the TLC one. It looks a bit oversized. Wink

Reminds me of Clonefactory's clones for some reason, the helmet does. I like it, very clean sharpie job. Wink

Hopefully this will fix the helmet debate

Area circled in green is the area I think makes the helmet look off.

I know this is off-topic, but how did you make the helmet?
It looks really good.

Maybe you could try and fill in the holes with putty?

Because this doesn't work.

I love how you guys are over-analyzing this. Laughing This is a 2-minute sharpie job I did in the middle of the night...

Apparently C&C aren't welcome.

You could have tried a bit harder and then posted it....

The Sharpie's fine, in my opinion. But I agree with what BBprod said about the mouth area. Casting seems to simplify some details...

Oh, don't get me wrong. I think you did a great job of sharpieing. I just think those resin casted helmets look a little storm trooper ish.
