Alien Graffiti
Yup, aliens doing graffiti in the middle of the desert. Random, but just what I needed to get my art project done.

Enjoy! C&C welcome.

"Is that... No way... Alien! Wait never mind, just some delinquents and their graffiti. Crazy kids."
I love the technique used , but other than that, it's still a little plain.

Re: Alien Graffiti
The fire is nice, and alien is cool, but the scene is boring without anything else!
Re: Alien Graffiti
Perfect face choice. I like the fire!

I agree. I picked up the Hoth Rebel BP yesterday and said "This face would be perfect for my vig."

Re: Alien Graffiti
I don't really know how shooting a laser into the sand is graffiti, but that SNOT road is terrific! Nice job.

It's like peeing in the snow:P The alien is writing on the floor with his laser.

I get it now. Pretty funny. Also, your alien designs are very cool looking. Especially the one shooting the laser.

Re: Alien Graffiti
Nice MOC Joe, I like the flame in the sand technique. But I always thought aliens did their graffti in corn fields.

Nice! I like the road and the shocked expression on the biker's face as well as the alien's graffiti. Keep up the good work!

Re: Alien Graffiti
I'm going to go out on a leg and assume the alien was inspired by the ones in District 9? The Moc is looking amazing although the whole snot road thing is getting a bit old considering it is being banged out all over the place. I like the little touches like the line of fire and the sloping edges which changes it a little from the generic design but other then that It is looking great.

Damn! JJ you have clearly stepped it up. I'll have to start thinking about you as possible nomination for council member now.

Re: Alien Graffiti
Wow JJ. Love the robots, and the line the one is cutting. The road looks a lot like the highways in Canada...

Dry and barren. The snot and fire technique is lovely, but it is still a bit plain.mazz wrote:Wow JJ. Love the robots, and the line the one is cutting. The road looks a lot like the highways in Canada...

Not every good thing has to be embellished with a thousand pounds of awesomeness. I say this is awesome just the way it is.
However, I will say that I don't think all deserts are just so, perfectly flat and all. A green bush (or perhaps one of the tan ones from one of the new sets) would go nicely in here, or a tumbleweed of battle droid arms.

It might be plain and flat but that draws you the centre of what is happening. The burning a diagonal line is the main technique of interest, but both bots are simple and clean lined with a pleasant sense of evil to them. The road is simple and well done. (I would have made it slightly wider maybe, making him feel more like an observer rather then him supervising them.) But the topper is the human that has "slowed" his bike just enough to end up in this "picture" as he drives by aliens shooting lasers into the ground. Surely he is thinking, "WFT?" And thus the MOC is a win.

I very much indeed think this MOC is a win. The dry and barren part was referring to mazz's previous post.
