7130 re-make

Post by Knight on Wed Jun 16, 2010 10:21 pm

In 1999 TLC released SW sets. One of my personal favorites was the T-47 speeder (snow speeder). Since then there have been 4 versions of it. For this MOC I redesigned my old Atgar cannon, and made my first T-47. The nose is Larry Lars's design, and the rest is mine. This was going to be my phase 4 entry, but I decided on another set to redo, enjoy!

Wow, very impressive, I thought that there was some orange in the speeder though.

Luke's is gray. Lego messed up by making 3 version white, and the 3 with Luke orange. I don't think TLC will ever get it right. Wow this thing looks'oh:

That speeder is sex-ay! Love the tiles. Can we see how you did the front?

It's Larry Lars's design. Here. I just used the nose technique, since it's the best way.

Great redesign! I love the SNOT and the size of this ship. It looks like the pilots sit very comfortably in there, unlike the one TLC made. Smile

Oh my... If this was posted just for fun, I can't wait to see your final phase entry... Shocked

I just posted this one for fun for two reasons. 1. The snowspeeder has been MOC'ed so many times, I didn't want to do for the CABGOII. 2. I choose a ship that doesn't get enough attention that it needs.

Very nice, but how about adding some orange into it too? And does the cockpit fit any minifigures? Wink Smile

I'm sick of TLC's orange T-47's, so I went with Luke's dark bley one. Check the flickr set, and you'll see that it does fit two, when close, and opened. Smile

Very very impressive. I like just about everything about it, including the radar dish assuming it's your's.

Very nice. I especially like the turret. It looks good without the orange.

It needs a little color, but it's awesome! I really love that turret, too. Smile

It's not my entry, it was going to be. I ended up picking another set that doesn't get MOC'ed enough.

Jedi Joe wrote:It needs a little color, but it's awesome! I really love that turret, too. Smile
It's Luke's, so it has to be grey and boring. I want to make a few more of these in differant colors/markings soon.

I hope that's not your Phase 2 entry.

Phase 2: Build a 16x16 bignette with at least 1 clone minifigure.

Because I think that's a Phase 3 entry. Embarassed

Phase 3: Build any vehicle or ship from the SWU canon (link to online reference source required) that is not already an official set.

Or closer to a Phase 4.

Final Phase: Rebuild/redesign an official set. This does not mean modify an official set using instructions. This means completely design your own version of this set from scratch.

Nope, it was going to be an entry for phase 3/4. I thought since the T-47 has been MOC'ed a lot, I would go with something else. This was just for fun. Smile

I remember when I first watched the movies this was my favorite vehicle. I like how the wedge plates inter-weave with the tiles on the front of the wings, along with everything else.

Yeah it is a little plane and boring, but with some white it would seem a lot more interesting
