HLC Mk.I
Here is my first playable ship that I'm happy with, the HLC Mk.I. Inspired by Rook's work, and the Action IV cargo transport. I ran into so many problems with this MOC, the cockpit was re-worked about 7 times, due to gaps. I never knew how hard it was to add playability to a MOC until now. That being said enjoy!
Note: The base plate was an extra just to show the playability, I will take on a real dio for this in the future.
Flick set.

Re: HLC Mk.I
That is AWESOME! I like how you did the hatches and the inside of it. I also like the way you did the cockpit and control panels. It looks really neat. It looks like the F9-TZ Transport from the Zann Consortium.
If you don't know what it is, here's the link: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/F9-TZ_Transport
I want to know how you made the control panels turn sideways?

Re: HLC Mk.I
Great work Knight! I love the interior, the cockpit, and the front in general.
Though the back is a little weird now that I look at it.
'Eh, this is still a great ship!

Re: HLC Mk.I
I must say, you have quite an interesting cockpit design. And the bay area is quite nice too!

A single stud is holding the 1x2 brick above the main plate, making it able to turn.

Re: HLC Mk.I
Wow, love the work here! The cockpit design looks top class and the detail on the outside makes this thing awesome.
Re: HLC Mk.I
I think I was hit by something or am I dreaming? This is amazing work you did with the front, I would love to see the back or this transport.
Its flawless no random bricks left alone , this looks like a real ship.

Re: HLC Mk.I
Nice mix of 2 MOCs of mine actually. The base plate was used in another old MOC. Excellent SNOT work on the nose. A bit gappy around the cockpit but you will master that soon enough I'm sure. Angled control displays and custom yoke were a nice touch. Looks like soon I will no longer be the master ship builder.

Re: HLC Mk.I
It is wonderful. Simply awesome. The shape is great, the color is awesome, and the patterns alone are something to die for. I really really enjoy this ship Knight. It is YOUR best work, and some of the best work I've seen in general for the last few months.
Re: HLC Mk.I
I don't know why this hasn't gotten more comments. Just as everyone else has said, simply amazing. Yet Rook has still managed to find a few flaws ( ) I find none.
Re: HLC Mk.I
I like it, I like it a lot! Nice work, I really like the stairs that lead into the back compartment, or is is a back exit?

It's my favorite MOC I've made too. It won't be scraped for a while.

That's how you get better, take the opinions, and make it the best it can be.

Re: HLC Mk.I
I absolutely love this MOC. And here is why:
1) The cockpit design is really cool, diffidently a first for me atleast. The shape reminds me of a fox for some reason, dont ask me why.
2) The playability is over the top. The area for them to repel down in the back and the weapon rack next to the stairs leading to the cockpit are all good features that I think add to this MOC.
3) The over all design. It flows together and looks like something you would see in the SW CW era. The engine block has an interesting design which makes it all the better. The idea of how the side doors open though is kinda a turn off for me. But I like how the sides transform into a ramp.
4) The endless modification abilities. The first thing I though when I saw the body was SW AC-130. Heck yea!! (now don't steal that idea Knight. I'm already working on something like that. )
So in short, best MOC I have seen on this site made by someone other then Tac, Revo, Rook or DY in a long time. It will be getting my vote as MOC of the month.
PS. I am using your design of the "cargo" (ie long body with a tiled floor) area of the ship, but I'll be changing up the "doors" and adding a few cool features of my own.

Don't worry, I won't.
I've re-worked the engines, so now when I turn the bottom one the repel raises and lowers! I'll try to get a video up.

Wow this is great. The cockpit area is beautiful, and the rest of it is pretty darn good too.
