"Simple" Lift

Just had some fun playing with some pieces this weekend. I've built this type of lift before but never this close to actual minifigure scale. When I was 16 I got a job in the local mall, in Maryland, at an amazing store and I would often see these guys cruising around fixing things. Smile

Enjoy.

Simple, yet effective and so awesome. Like you said, if it isn't playable, it's not built by Rook! Wow this thing looks

Yeah it stays "up" just from the friction on the black pins.

I haven't really messed with Technic pieces is there a difference between the black pins and the grey pins?

Also, nice lift design. Reminds me of when I was small and would take a couple of long technic bars and several pins and connect them together making a hand grabby thing. Smile

Rook... I don't know. This little thing doesn't measure up in size with your other MOCs but I think I want this more. Razz

I could play with this myself. Razz Maybe a break down shot (yes the noob question) so I can make something similar for my son. Smile

Awesome Job!

I think this could actually be a proper lego set. You have used the right amount of detail. Not to much not to little. It's also good because of the play value!
Well done! Wow this thing looks

Awesome Job!

Ah I see you noticed the most complex aka "not so simple" part is well hidden. Yeah it took a bit figure out the right pieces to use to get it this small. Wow this thing looks I'll post a break down in the next day or two.

I didn't notice anything special about this build till I saw the second picture. That's when my eyes went O.O "Ohai!"

I look forward to your break down... Smile

The black pins are called friction pins which are a lot tighter then the plain grey pins.
