CW Matchstick

Post by ^Ninja Trooper^ on Sat Sep 11, 2010 6:40 pm

Made this a couple weeks back. I had some top helmet decal trouble but all in all I think it turned out pretty well. Smile

Arm and leg decals by CG, torso decal by Dutch, and helmet decals by me.
C&C welcome! Smile

I agree, amazing figure though. The decals and their application are great. Smile

Yeah, I've got a little canon a460, it just doesn't have the resolution to handle this sort of thing. Sad

But I am saving for a canon T1i, so when I have that the pictures will be improving! Wow this thing looks

At first glance I can see several flaws already. The leg decals have not been applied properly and are slightly slanted. The two red things on the chin are slightly to the right. Also, the helmet decals for the top of the helmet are rather crude, it seems like you cut them out and the two red republic symbols- the one on the left seems bigger than the one on the right. It also seems like there is an extra line above the visor. And the gloss seems to have been applied too much. A good start, but these little minor things can make a big difference. Wink Smile

The helmet is probably the hardest part of decalling Clones.

This looks great, I think you did a good job of designing the helmet. It's very accurate.

I think the 'red thing' on the chin is a tongue.
I think the decals went on very well! Overall, great fig! Wow this thing looks
