Dark Red Republic Y-wing Bomber

Hello ladies, look at your Y-wing, now back to mine, now back at your Y-wing, now back to mine. Sadly, it isn’t mine, but if you stopped buying boring lego models and switched to moding your own, it could look like it’s mine. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re on a topic gazing at the Y-wing your Y-wing could like. What’s in your mind, back to mine. I have it, it’s a thought about the y-wing that you love. Look again, the Y-wing is now greater. Anything is possible when your Y-wing looks like a republic bomber and not a banana. Rooks on a horse.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read the description.

The re-coloration is great! It looks much better than the yellow version, and even the little hints of crimson rather than dark red are really catching to the eye. Nice work!

Thank you, I'm glad the regular red didn't kill the effect of it; evidently Lego doesnt make every part in dark red... who knew!

Nice work! I don't actually own the Y-wing, but I have seen one my friend owns, and the red makes it look WAY cooler...

It looks very nice, I love the dark red as opposed to the yellow. The dark red with the crimson is stunning.

Ok, anyways, I like the Y-wing, dark red does make it look better. Not you need to make a grey one...

I don't know about the different shades of red. I think if only the dark red was used it would have looked better.

Well I like the two reds. It gives the ship more color variation.

Kinda reminds me of the mixing of red on the Gunship. I hated it on that, but it looks great on your Y-Wing.

Well of course I read that. I was just stating the fact that it might look better so maybe YOU could make the parts dark red. Just a suggestion.

No hard feelings... I have read an article about color alteration with vinyl dye recently, this might be a good oppurtunity to try it out.

Great description! I laughed pretty hard when you said Rook's on a horse, then literally laughed when I scrolled and saw the pic. Bomber looks great in that color. Like the droid combo too.

Did you get inspiration for it from the clone wars episode 'landing at point rain' by any chance?

I enjoyed reading the description, then scrolling through the pics I nearly died when I saw Rook on a horse. He should have been backwards though. Nice job, it does look a lot better than the ugly yellow.

Wow, this looks really nice. I remember seeing the red Y-wings in the Clone Wars episode "Landing at Point Rain" and the "Zillo Beast" episode. It looks alot cooler than the yellow Y-wing. Maybe I should try a re- coloration with my 2005 ARC- 170 or my Clone Wars gunship.

Actually the ones used in the second battle of Geonosis have the colors flopped (white where the red is and red where the white is); The only episode where the colors where like that was "The Zillo Beast" During the electro-proton bombing of Malastare. From what I've deduced only squad leaders have their Colors like mine or the original model ie. Anakin and Goji.
