AT-RT

Post by Legion Dude on Fri Apr 15, 2011 2:29 pm

There it is. My own AT-RT. I already uploaded some bad pictures on flickr, but a friend took some pictures for me and here they are! Enjoy Wink

Information on the AT-RT:
The AT-RT, or All Terrain - Recon Transport, was a swift walker used by the troops of the GAR. The walkers where just as good for combat as they wore for reconnaissance or search and rescue. It had a blaster cannon and mortar launcher on the front and at the back of the seat an advanced communication system. It was 3.2 meters tall and 2.9 meters long and could reach speeds up to 90km/h.

Also, be sure to leave me a comment here !

Awesome AT-RT you got there! The SNOT on the legs really looks great! I like the use of the slopes and SNOT for the legs of the AT-RT!

I really like those stickers that you use on those little small parts. I wish I had those too. Smile

They come in the Dropship with AT-OT set. Dropship is wrecked Embarassed , so I had these stickers left. I also use them on backpacks for my troops, like Rocco and Copper. Whitey

Nice! Welcome aboard too Smile I really like the armor on the front, nice bit of designing. My only critiques are: The two cheese slopes on the armor portion stick out awkwardly, and the portion that the trooper sits on is wayyy to blocky. A 1 stud wide seat might be a good idea Smile

I know, but then I would have to copy stuff from someone else. This is not a purist version. This one has more like two blaster cannons, while the smaller one is actually a mortar launcher. Eat You Lego

Hmm, I'm not sure on this one. It seems a little too bottom-heavy for me. AT-RTs tend to have pretty large cockpits, but rather skinny legs. The seat seems a little to thick for me. But good effort! The legs look like they can be used in a mech. Wink

The cockpit is good, but I'm not too sure about the part behind the pilot. It seems a bit too thick. Same with the feet. Nonetheless, it's a good start. Maybe after a revision or two you'd end up with a fully refined result. I suggest you keep going with this, and it's nice to see that knee connection put to good use. Wink

Well, I have done that now, I made the seat smaller, adjusted the front part a bit and made the legs thinner. Thanks for the advice and the upper legs and knees, they're pretty much the same as yours, Justin! Wink
