253d mission 4.2

Post by Legion Dude on Sun Jun 05, 2011 8:12 pm

Corusant is a strange place. When I got to the junkyard, Bolt was long gone. All that remained was a XI-67 Predator, blasted to pieces. So, after a rendezvous with Copper and Voche, we asked some eyewitnesses what happened. They told us, that after 'the warrior' destroyed the robotic carnivore, he ran of towards a large indoor wildlife reserve. Well, whatever. As long as he wouldn't get deeper in trouble, it was fine by me. But it was not to be.....

As we entered the massive complex, a guard told us to be careful. These buildings were built to maintain the native flora and fauna of Corusant. All creatures and plants in the reserve are endangered.

Voche managed to get into a terminal. When he looked at the schematics of the building, he discovered a safety door was opened about 10 miles from our position. Great. Nothing like a long walk through a game reserve, probably with some mechanized carnivores lurking from the shadows.

''Run for it!" Who was that? Bolt?

Then, I spotted him. Bolt was running towards us, with three Predators on his tail. One had a double chaingun mounted at the back of his spine. "Oh, please, no" "Don't talk, RUN!"

While running, I tried to blast 'em. One shot, down goes the droid. Bolt suddenly threw a grenade to another one. Only the one with the chainguns was left. I stopped. Aimed. I had him in my sights. A heavy rifle like mine could easily bring down a droid this size. "Click click" Damn!

We ran towards the breached safety door. Apparently Bolt had been thinking the same. But why did he go in here in the first place. He's not stupid. He wouldn't chase a whole pack of XI-67's. Very odd....

Voche was running next to me. "I can see the door! The droid will never fit in there. But we won't make it. He's gaining too quickly!"
Suddenly, Copper was gone. No time to worry about him.

When Bolt entered the hallway behind the door, he suddenly dropped. Collapsed. Was he... No...

Dead.

Two things I heard before everything became black: Someone running away from us through the hallway very fast, and scream, followed by a shot. "Thanks Copper!"

Voche was safe. Copper was safe. Am I safe? I fell on the ground. "That's gonna hurt tomorrow!", I said. Then I fainted....

My second to last mission before I will participate in the 457th challenges!
Of course, Rocco will be my Sigfig.
C&C are welcome

Great build! I agree it doesn't really look like Corusant to me. Once again, the storyline is great and makes me want the next one so badly. I just have one question. One thing that kind of confused me was if Bolt died or not? That part just wasn't very clear to me. I wasn't sure if he got shot or something. Overall, it is definitely a great build but could use some work just for it to look more like Corusant. Wow this thing looks

If you two read it more carefully, you would have known that they're inside the nature reserve, that's why it doesn't look like a city. Wink

Anyway, this MOC is pretty good, though, you need more than just tan and brown plates with a few plants in the nature reserve part. Spice it up some more with more plants of different shapes and sizes. Maybe add some little animal or something. The part inside the emergency door is really nice. I like the XI-67 droid too.

All and all, good job. Thumbs up

Well, I read on wookieepedia (yes, the ultimate SWU info is there) that to preserve the native flora and fauna of Corusant, large indoor nature reserves were built. And, yes Bolt did get killed. Check out flickr for more pictures. You will see who shot him and all. Snake of course....
Also, Rocco isn't very recognizable in this picture. He just walks into the hallway. And he is very Waaa!
@Train01: If I would add animals, they would be killed by the XI-67 droid. It is a PREDATOR!! Animals know to stay away from predators, so. And if the Predators wouldn't scare them off, the grenade thrown by Bolt and the shots would.

Zoom? No, just a bad camera. We have a Sony DCR-SR37E. Sometimes a friend of mine is here, and HE has got the camera I used for all those nice pictures. But this had been on my room for like a month, and I wanted to finally share it.

Neat little MOC. But I think the beast with a machinegun on it is kind of unrealistic. Wink

One of the beast has a machine gun. The 'leader'. So, if you were a gangster/war criminal, and you have the option of adding double chain guns to some of your illegal drones, what would you do? Razz
